If you're looking for a "grand" large resort in Sedona this is not the place for you. If your looking for a quiet, comfortable and a location away from the maddening Sedona traffic this is an excellent option. Located in the Sedona suburb of Oak Creek this lodge has amazing views from the property and even from your room! So close to Bell Rock you can even walk there and a short 5 minute drive to Chapel of The Holy Cross ( a must see) and 10 minute drive to downtown Sedona. A number of nice restaurants you can also walk to including an Italian and Chinese eatery in the same plaza. The young man who checked me in (son of the owners I believe he said) was so pleasant and service oriented as well. Stayed here in April 2022...loved it SO MUCH booked a return trip for July 2022. Great value for the money & highly recommended!…
In the past, I’ve loved the affordable rates and lovely views. But this past weekend I stayed in the newly built wing of the hotel and my suite was gorgeous. All modern amenities, lots of space, and most importantly, stunning red rock views from all my windows. I spent the mornings sitting out on my private deck overlooking Castle Rock & Bell Rock, with bluffs and buttes off in the distance. The bed was comfortable, the shower was a beautiful walk in with good water pressure, and the kitchenette was spacious. There was a fireplace in my room and great restaurants within walking distance. I even spent time on the “viewing deck” on the second floor looking out at the sunset on Courthouse Butte. Mitch and his family run a beautiful business, and they always take great care of me when I’m there. The only way I got myself to leave was by booking my next visit!…
We absolutely loved this place. Staff is very friendly. We stayed in the Valley View suite. Very spacious. The views from the outdoor roof patio are breathtaking. Previous reviews are correct when they said it is best to stay here which is outside of the touristy part of Sedona. Sunday morning we got up early and went into Sedona to shop and explore. Early is the way to go because as we headed back to our room there was a huge line of traffic going into Sedona so going early is the best option. We will definitely stay here again. Loved it!!!!!
Opted for this property based on TripAdvisor reviews, and the price quoted, which was among the lowest price accommodations during my April 2022 visit. I had the opportunity to stay in 2 rooms, one in the recently completed wing and a second night in the original building. I had only planned for 1 night in Sedona but fell in love with the area and decided on a 2nd night. The hotel was fully booked, but a room opened up the morning that I was scheduled to leave, so I agreed to change rooms for the second evening. The hotel is located in Oak Creek Village which is a 5-10 minute drive from the busier areas of Sedona, but that few minutes is one of the most beautiful & easily accessible drives in the country. Being a little out of the heavy congestion that can build up in Sedona was nice, and driving through the red rock vistas just added to the experience. There are lots of restaurants and other things to do in Oak Creek, so don't hesitate to stay in this part of town. Sedona Village Lodge is basically a 2-3 star hotel in terms of the services they provide. There is no restaurant or pool on site, but they do have a very nice roof top patio which is ideal for enjoying take-out, and the view are great. The rooms in both the new and old section were completely fine - I would recommend either based strictly on the room itself. Where the new section of the hotel wins out is that it is considerably quieter than the original building. In the new section, the rooms open to the outdoors whereas the original rooms (at least the one I stayed in) open off of an interior hallway. Room noise in the older building was really my only complaint. The rate for the older room was $50 cheaper, but I would still opt for the newer wing if that's available. Notice the 2 room types in the attached photos. It's local charm, ample parking, great location and clean, updated rooms...at a very affordable price...makes Sedona Village Lodge a great option.…
This hotel is great! The lady at check in was very friendly and helpful. My room was a little small, not fitting much more than the king sized bed, but it was beautifully decorated, very clean, and quite cozy. There's a rooftop terrace where you can sit and enjoy the view.
