We recently met with family and friends at El Portal for a wonderful Sedona sojourn. We felt so comfortable from the moment we arrived. The ambience was so special: warm and friendly staff, unique decor in each room, delicious breakfasts,...overall, a very relaxing, enjoyable experience. We look forward to our next visit! We were given a gift card by my husbands son and he raved about the place. I went online and saw that pets were aloud. Not only was I happy I could bring my dog, but I absolutely loved the place. The villas had back yards for the dog. They had a yard with a wonderful, peaceful sitting area. The...

We just returned from our second stay at this fabulous inn in the heart of Sedona. It is a rustic and romantic adobe hacienda with each room furnished individually with antiques and charm. It was conceived by the owners and built to careful specifications from old wood and stone so that it looks like it has been there for many...

We had an absolutely wonderful two night stay. The room decor is something I have never experienced before. Very unique and rustic but with absolutely all the modern conveniences. Sitting out by the fire in the evenings was so quiet and relaxing it was hard to remember you were also within a 2 or 3 minute walk of some of...

My wife and I finally took our late summer vacation. We wanted to visit northern Arizona and when we found El Portal, it was fantastic. It is very beautiful and warm. The court yard was fabulous and the staff were very friendly. This place is exactly what we wanted. Not a big corporate hotel with tons of people not talking...

El Portal in Sedona, AZ is in a great central location. A completely NON-SMOKING hotel which is a graet ploicy. Our renovated second floor room was very nice with a comfortable bed, and it was very quiet and clean. The small flat panel television could not be seen from over five feet away and needs to be updated. Unfortunately the...

Our first impression of this hotel: "Oh no, we must be at the wrong place." The drive up to the inn had us feeling as if we were driving up to a back lot that was unpaved and basically unlit. The registration area was in the same room as the restaurant for breakfast as well as the sitting area by...

We are sorry you felt that way about our Inn. We are an Inn, not a typical hotel. Steve and Connie love taking care of the guests with personal attention, including taking bags to rooms, ect. I had the most wonderfully relaxing stay ever. The staff was incredible! The suites were warm & comfortable. The relaxing peacefulness of El Portal is amazing. We felt as if we were the only guests there. A wonderful experience and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

We liked this small boutique-style hotel with a very relaxing courtyard, friendly staff, a complete opposite of the big noisy corporate chain establishments. There are no two similar rooms, everything is furnished with utmost attention and care to detail. There is an inherent sense of eco-friendliness in materials used, some rooms feature amazing tree-trunks used as both decorative elements and...
