The floor was softer the bed! The room was very small for the price! The front desk staff was very rude and no respect for the guests! Only two positives were that the room was clean and it had okay activities on site.
When we entered the room the heating didn't work. 60 degrees. Had to call maintenance immediately. Be prepared to bring your own hot spot. Wireless is practically non-existent. And even if it were OK, the hotel wifi doesn't let you stream movies and such. We had to use my phone as a hot spot. Dirty silverware. Dirty doors. Yes, they may clean the knobs, but the doors were filthy. Dirty light switches. The Concierge was absolutely clueless on nearby hiking trails. There were some Rice Chex that were spilled outside someone's door. Never cleaned up in the 3 days we were there. Poor maintenance overall. I understand that we are in the pandemic, but come on guys, you can do better than this.
We have stayed here many times. The resort grounds are excellent. The rooms, however are in poor shape. Old and stained furniture, decor and cabinets look from the early 90s. VERY weak internet connection. This will be our last stay at this hotel. It needs serious refurbishing. Oh and the time share sharks are all around the lobby. On check in I actually saw the receptionist wink at one of them to alert them to their new customer. Within a minute the “welcome” guy set on us.! Pathetic
I have been to Sedona several times and love the location of this property. I spend hours walking thru the shops next door, so very convenient. I stayed at this location right before this covid 19 was about to hit and was a week before they were going to close the pool and hot tub for maintenance. Hopefully this has reopened. This is what makes this resort. Spent 4 days there climbing the beautiful rocks around Sedona and late lights and early mornings soaking in the hot tub. The food at the resort is not bad, but took advantage of the sales pitch and used their vouchers at several fine establishments. The only negative I have with Diamond resorts is I was promised another cheap vacation for sitting thru the sales presentation and tried to recently use it and no luck. I was not pressured into this, but I know I will never sit thru another sales pitch for the unkept promise. Now they call me all the time, but until I am given the deal I was promised, I am done with Diamond resorts and their promises.…
Booked the reservation 2 weeks prior to my visit and specifically requested a room with a good Wifi reception - reason being I needed to catch up on some important work related stuff. The reservation lady said she will mention it on my reservation and requested a room close to the lobby (where she said the Wifi would be fairly good). On the day of arrival, at 8am, I called the hotel front desk just to verify it again - the person confirmed this is noted on my reservation and that they will do their best. I ended up getting a room on the other side of the pool, where the Wifi doesn't work at all, it's basically a fiction. Worst internet connectivity in a hotel ever. When I went to the front desk to complain they said they don't have anything with good wifi available today, just tomorrow. Tomorrow was too late as my wife has already wiped the room clean and unpacked our luggage. I had to use my cell hotspot which was much much better than the Wifi, unfortunately I had maxed out my T-mobile hotspot data package after a day... so had to switch to my wife's phone. This story tells a lot about a place., just a bad customer service. Room is very small, too small for 4 people. If you plan to use the sofa bed there's no place to walk around the room. So everyday you have to close and open it again. Only good things to mention is the central location and the big jacuzzi near the pool.…
