Stayed in Art Deco Room. Absolutely no place to sit except on bed or outside covered patio. Room was "pet friendly". - extra charge of $25/night. Floor was tile and room furnished with used furniture - so how do you justify the extra expense?? Listened to the footsteps of the guest in room above us all night. Absolutely no sound... More

We appreciate the review. We are sorry this guest had a less than satisfactory stay. The Art Deco room is a pet friendly room primarily because it has a tile floor and a screened porch. The $25. pet fee is primarily for the extra cleaning and fumigation that is often necessary after a pet has occupied the room. Yes, our... More

Woodpecker cabin was beautiful, intimate, well equipped and furnished with a brilliant collection of funky lamps, tables, etc. The garden was stunning. The staff was blah and not welcoming when we arrived; a little better when we were leaving. We were looking forward to the breakfast as a vegan option was advertised for my wife. A frozen toaster waffle is... More

Greg, This makes me extremely sad! What a terrible impression we made on you. Please let me apologize on behalf of myself and everyone else you encountered. A vice place to stay close to parks and the beach. Clean and comfortable. We stayed above the café two nights and it really was not that loud. Great breakfast both mornings. An ice machine for the guests would be nice although, it is not far to walk to the store.

The road less traveled leads to this quaint B&B, with a few pet-friendly suites. The inn keepers and kind and helpful, setting is artsy-beach, and nicely retro. It's a short walk to amazing sunsets or dinner. After a day of working on the road, this is a wonderful place to relax (good wifi, too).

Somewhat of a quirky place in a good way. The establishment has a menagerie of older structures that look to be homes built in the 40's to 50's on a well kept large lot with gardens and live oak trees. We stayed in probably the smallest room available (and cheapest), The Magnolia, which was just fine for me and my... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the captivating Hibiscus Coffee and Guesthouse with cafe, lovely overgrown gardens and special event space and loaded with Old Floridian rustic beauty and charm. We stayed in the original and artfully decorated Vintage Funky Bird Room with seating area, kitchen, big bathroom and loads of themed and art deco Old Florida decor. The Inn includes its famous... Love this place, we stayed in the Art Deco Room with the screened in porch on the courtyard. Our room was clean and comfortable. The food was delicious & the service welcoming & gracious. Casey and the ladies that prepared our coffee & food provided good recommendations for dining, etc., as well as getting ice for us every day. We... More

I just stayed at the Woodpecker Cottage at Hibiscus for 4 days. I loved it. The decor was vintage 50's -- favorite. The bed was super comfortable. It was clean and charming. Every morning I walked across the garden for a delicious complimentary breakfast in the vegetarian cafe. All the places you want to visit are a short walk away--the... More

We stumbled upon the Hibiscus Coffee and Guesthouse while looking for a place to stop mid roadtrip. Just seeing the word "coffee" made me click on the site. We were lucky they had a vacancy and even better, we ended up in the Woodpecker Cottage. It has a retro feel of Old Florida tucked amongst the trees. We were treated... More
