We spent two nights at Albergue Alma de Hatillo. The grounds are beautiful, the pool is clean, the rooms were comfortable and cozy and the hostess was gracious and lovely. I liked that there was a big gate in front and that the grounds were very secure. The owner grows and makes all the food she serves at breakfast. She...

We stayed one night. I had been in touch with Sabina and decided not to make a reservation since our plans were not set. Then as we came into the area, we decided to call her and she met us at the gate and showed us to a room. My initial impression of Sabina by email was very good, and...

Sabina owns this special B&B and takes a lot of pride in her accomplishment. She serves a wonderful organic breakfast, with all ingredients from her property. The salt water pool is really a bonus here. With the lovely new deck, you could spend hours soaking in the pool and listening to all the birds calling. The B&B is gated and...

No frills, no fuzz, great jam. Lovely views and extremely welcoming and helpful host. There's a gorgeous (almost) undiscovered beach nearby. Having a car is very helpful if you stay several days. Will come back. Thank you!

The cabinas at Albergue Alma de Hatillo are so charming, you may not want to leave. Sabina Koczij-Martin is the quintessential hostess. She made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. The meals were freshly prepared and restaurant quality. Fresh squeezed juices and homemade jams for breakfast were something I looked forward to each morning. Dinner was also delicious and very...

We stayed in the cabin for 2 nights. Sabina was very kind and helpful. Breakfast is excellent with jams and spreads made from fruit from the garden. Our kids loved the pool and cabin. We changed our plans for the rest of our trip based on Sabinas advice, all turned out excellent.

Hostess Sabina has built a gorgeously nestled, super smart collection of air-cooled bungalows into the jungle mountainside. With loving attention to detail, and a deep commitment to the environment, she's created a small paradise on earth. She's chosen to not have A/C in the rooms, which we found to be sufficiently cool due the cleverly designed ceiling vents. Fruit literally...

We stayed here with friends based on the Trip Advisor reviews and we're not disappointed. Sabina, the owner, was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and although there is no a/c they were very comfortable at night being well ventilated. The pool is nice with views out over the sea. The eating area is very pleasant and the...

I travel in different areas of Costa Rica often, when I am near Dominical, I go a few minutes N to Hattilo , directly off the highway to a very relaxing, comfortable stay with Sabina at the Albergue Alma de Hatillo. About 5 years ago , I was lucky enough to find Sabina and the Alma. Nothing against surfers or Dominical,...

This place is 25 miles from Quepos. It's at Dominical. It's right off the main highway so it's LOUD. It really is just OK, like more then $30 is too much. No A/C. Grounds are nice, owner tries hard, but this really isn't a "hotel" more like a B&B but in cabins.
