My teenage son and I stayed during the rainy season, in early October 2012- not bad at all for having rain every afternoon (it was rather nice and cooling). The Waterfall Villa was exceptional. Extremely clean, friendly, unique, and comfortable. There were fresh flowers daily,...More
We recently stayed in the Butterfly Suite for a week. The kindness of everyone we met, coupled with the picturesque landscape and delicious vegan food made us feel like we had discovered a gem! My husband, who is a lover of meat and cheese, stated...More
My wife and I spent 5 wonderful days at the Waterfall Villa 20-25 May 2012. The beauty of the resort was only surpassed by the kindness of the hosts - Donald, Franco, Fateh and the cooks, cleaners and gardeners. Meals were all vegan and as...More
Waterfall Villas is a beautiful secluded paradise. When my wife and I arrived we were the only 2 people staying at the villas for our first night and we felt so special. The atmosphere is tranquil and relaxing, surrounded by jungle and the calming sounds...More
My husband and I got married at Waterfall villas on 7/5/12, and the journey all the way from Scotland was definitely worthwhile! - everything was arranged by Fateh as we wanted it, with a low-key ceremony; the flowers were gorgeous, the setting stunning, and a...More

Hi there. I can't say specifically if the hotel caters to young families or if there is an age limit on guests but I will say that Fateh is very responsive and prompt with her email communications. I suggest that if you haven't already, send an email to the address on her hotel website. She was great when I booked with her this past January...never had to wait around for a reply, that made it very easy to book the rest of the trip.
Hope this helps!

We came from the San Jose airport, we arranged for someone to pick us up and bring us to the resort. It was about 3 hours drive but we stopped along the way to see some sights. You could rent a car at the airport, but we just opted for the hotel to send someone to pick us up.

Hello! Yes! Guests have rented a car at the airport many many times and drove here to the Waterfall Villas. We recommend that you do this drive in the day, not only because it is a scenic drive, but also because signage is not that great nor street lights at night. You can also rent a car once you are here. When renting a car in Costa Rica the most important thing is to get a car from a name brand agency - hertz, avis, national, budget, and solid. A no-name agency will be very cheap and YES it is too good to be true. Guests that have done this have been stranded without any assistance. That is no way to spend a vacation :) Love & light, Fateh
