We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The room was extremely spacious and comfortable with AC, modern shower, comfortable beds and balcony with a view right on to the seafront. Lorraine (hope this is correct) and her daughter are fantastic cooks and we enjoyed delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner daily - great quality and value. The staff at this...

The location was amazing as it is right on the beach. As soon as we arrived we ran to the water to cool down after a stressful drive around the Osa Peninsula. The hosts were great and we had a lovely time. The food was good and reasonable priced. Great stay

After travelling from the north of the Caribbean coast and all the way down the Pacific coast we finished here and spent our last 3 days trekking Corcovado NP and snorkelling around Cano Island. Our meals were included in our package and although there was no choice the food served was really good. We stayed in room 18 which had...

Rancho Corcovado, a family owned and run business, is located on the Pacific coast with comfortable seating and beautiful views of the Ocean. Many of the tours start at this hotel and the town of Drake Bay is only 300 yards up the hill so it is ideally located. The Manager, Roger Gonzalez, is friendly, welcoming and helpful to book...

There are not a lot of choices for lodging in Drake Bay, but we found Rancho Corcovado to be very acceptable. The rooms were rustic, but very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was included, and quite nice. Dinners were superb. The dining room is open to the public, but You must let the hotel know in the...

We accessed ( and I think most) via boat taxi. Wear water shoes... Buildings/hotel are detached -- rooms are grouped, dining/common area separate-close to beach (nice). Rooms were clean, simple, a/c (we only used @ nite). You have to be physically fit -- enough to go up and down: steps, hills, etc. The best place was on the beach. Oddly,...

Its tough to get to but once you are here and start to relax its heaven, We took a speed boat out Sierpa up the Sierpa River to the ocean, getting out to the ocean was a white knuckler and then travelled down the coast to Drake Bay. You jump out of the back of the boat with you luggage...

Rancho Corcovado is located on the beach at the spectacular Bahia Drake, surrounded by beautiful gardens teeming with wildlife. The family who run it are charming and helpful and so are the staff. The food in the beachside restaurant is well-cooked, tasty, local fare and drinks are available from the kitchen. However, it is usually hot and humid and would...

Beware of the showers if you stay at this hotel! Ours caught on fire 5 minutes after my husband and I were finished showering. Very scary experience! We alerted the hotel manager, who was able to move us to another room. This new room, however, had no a/c, a thin mattress, was buggy, and had an even scarier-looking shower with...

Spent 5 nights here on our first trip to Costa Rica. We knew the local climate would be harsh to our Canadian bodies and we weren't wrong. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and did everything possible to keep us comfortable. The food was amazing though we were often too hot and exhausted to enjoy the portion sizes. The ladies...
