Let's just say the stay was one of the memories you won't ever forget. The hotel is located right on the lake, literally! The water (lake) comes up even to the lower steps of the hotel. The staff (for the most part) were nice. The food (all three meals and drinks) were fantastic. The tables were located on the balcony...

In Guatemala for a mission trip with the Porch de Salomon. On our acclimation day we went to La Casa del Mundo for breakfast and relaxation. The food was yummy. The views were awesome. The smoothies heavenly and the hammock magical. Some of our group went paddle boarding and had a great time.

This was my second visit to Antigua and La Casa del Mundo Hotel, Lake Atitlan, This hotel is my favorite place to visit. A short boat ride from "Pana" to total tranquility, the Hotel is charming, neat as a pin, nooks and crannies with flowers and shrubs in abundance, excellent service and everybody is very friendly. You order your dinner...

29 of us showed up for lunch & to relax for a bit. Wow! It is so beautiful built into the mountain. Can only get there by boat! Very quiet. The restaurant has wonderful views, good food & extremely accommodating staff! Loved relaxing in the hammocks situated around the property. Would love to go back!!

I had a wonderful time: a little hammock time, reading, yummy food (especially breakfast), and time to relax and restore. I even had some time with the resident cat. I was able to get there easily from Panahacel & also used the local lanchas to go to San Juan. If you are looking for a place with reasonable prices, great...

Both my fiancé and I had the same feeling when we got to the hotel - we found paradise. The hotel itself is the attraction here. We are not the type to sit around fancy hotels but with this place we gladly slowed down and relaxed. Besides our private balcony, there are many shared places to sit and read, or...

We stayed here for 2 nights, had a great experience. The hotel is built on a cliff right by the lake and all the rooms have beautiful lake view. The outdoor area for breakfast is the best breakfast place you can find near the lake. Staff was courteous and helpful. Hotel also provides activities such as kayaking and swimming area....

2nd year here and would go back again. Most rooms have private baths which I recommend although for the budget traveler, there are inexpensive rooms with shared bath. The grounds are gorgeous. The views are amazing. It is so incredibly unique and wonderful. Mind you, there are many stairs. If you have trouble with stairs, not the hotel for you....

Looking for a lake front property and choose this gorgeous location. Could not be happier with our room, the staff, the food, the view, or the experience. The large table dinner with guest, who choose this option, was wonderfully unique in our travels. 20 minute boat ride for about 20Q or $2.75?each way.
