We were so glad that we found Rio Tierra through TripAdvisor, a source that we often rely upon. Many years ago, we had visited the Nature Conservancy's abutting 600 acre preserve, so we were eager to get back to the area. After checking in, we followed Katy's directions and walked onto the preserve to find the nearby Hassayampa River. It... More

My husband and I had a delightful stay at Rio Tierra. The setting is so relaxing and Katy and John are great hosts – they have created a very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. This was my husband’s first trip to Rio Tierra (I have been here several times before with a girlfriend) and he just loved it! We enjoyed sitting... More

There is no better way to spend home time in Wickenburg. Rio Terra's Casitas are pure comfort. They are a wonderful respite. The Casitas are decorated with colorful, Southwestern flair. Katy has done an amazing job creating a atmosphere that is stimulating, welcoming and comforting. Stay away from a hotel room. Rent a Casita from Rio Terra. It will be... More

It is so heart-warming to know how much our guests embrace the lodging we've created. Like you say, we really are a great alternative to the four walls of a motel room. Knowing you enjoyed your stay is such a big pay off for us. Thank you so much for coming and sharing your experience here. More

This place was magical, fun, funky, inviting and friendly. The staff had prepared a BBQ full of mesquite so i could cook new york steaks. My lady was impressed with me because this place is so romantic as well as fun. Great little river runs right behind it and there is a wonderful community firepit. I will definitely be back.... We cannot rate Rio Tierra Casitas highly enough. Our family of 4 stayed in the MexiCasa Roca for a week and were sad to leave. The casita is well stocked with absolutely everything you could possibly want or need, and Katie does an amazing job of making you feel welcome and at home. Coffee on the patio looking out into... This is a cozy stop while in Wickenburg. The room was clean, well stocked and cute. We enjoyed two nights while exploring this great little western town. Katy does a fine job of making sure her customers are well cared for. I would recommend this little spot to anyone looking for a change from an otherwise boring hotel room. We... More

I spent a week in the little green bungalow by myself. It was heavenly. Katy and John have thought of everything to make it feel like home. It felt so safe and was so serene. The view from the porch was so peaceful. I highly recommend!

I needed a get away, this place is the most relaxing, serine, peaceful place I have ever been to. The walk to the river wash, the sunset, the quiet and peaceful sound of nothing but nature. I stayed in the western themed rancho deluxe. The decor will be appreciated by the cobwoy/antiquer, it is absolutely adorable, the online pictures don't... More

If you're coming into Wickenburg for Family Week, the Rio Tierra is THE only place to stay. In town you can find some very basic, and honestly pretty drab, motels, but the Casitas is an artists ranch 3-minutes from downtown. Felt like something you'd find in a Santa Fe, New Mexico. It has so much local character and so much... More

My son and I arrived to the adorable and comfy bed and breakfast and the owner had baked a lovely blueberry banana breakfast bread, and had stocked the fridge with some yummy yogurts and juice! I would stay there again next time we go out to Wickenburg! Loved loved loved it!
