I stayed at this motel thinking it was a nice place. First night toilet backed up all over the floor, the room smelled like sewer and they refused to refund my money when I didnot want to stay there another night. Also there were bed bugs that eat you up at night while you are sleeping.I pulled the covers back to...

We had the unfortunate experience at the Canyon Motel of having to go back and re-read the very small font (4 point) on our email reservation when we decided to check out early. Understand, while the hotel was not busy, they told us the remaining nights on our reservation were non-refundable despite them providing us no services. While in the...

If you are staying in the hotel, pack your earplugs! The rooms are set in 2-3 sets behind the office property. They forgot to insulate the walls! So what this means is that you will hear every conversation of your neighbor as if they were standing right next to you....including yawning.....and monkey business, if you know what I mean. It...

We found this gem in Frommers 2009. We were exhausted from a long day at the Grand Canyon and didn't want to stay in an overpriced hotel there because we were headed for Phoenix first thing the next morning anyway. So we went out on a limb and called them to see if one of their Kabooses was available and...

Shirley at the Canyon RV Park was awesome! Two months before we arrived I booked the Caboose #1 for our family of 4 coming back from the Grand Canyon. Shirley emailed me some tips on AZ and said the "Navajo Taco" in Cameron was not to be missed. She answered a number of emails from a first time AZ traveler...

We stayed here on the hind end of our trip to the Grand Canyon, which allowed us to spend most of a day at the Canyon, and then have a short drive to very pleasant and well-priced accommodations. Shirley, the owner, provided great recommendations and coupons for a couple local restaurants. We had booked a regular cabin room for my...

Vintage 1930's Motor Court. We stayed in a cottage during our Nostalgic Route 66 / Grand Canyon Road Trip. Owners are great. Room was nice but heater wasn't quite enough to warm the place (Outside was in the 30's and this place just sits on a concrete pad under the carpet) The also have railroad cars you can stay in,...

A nice property a couple miles down the road from the Polar Express Train Depot. We stayed in winter, and there was about a foot of snow on the ground so that made this place a blast for our 3 year old boy. We probably weren't supposed to, but we used the RV Park next door for sledding as it...

We stayed at the RV park and it was great. It had all the hook ups and the only reason it did not get an "Excellent" review from me is becasue the shower and restrooms were not up and running yet (But they should be by now). The property was clean, had a play ground for the kids and a...

My cousin and her family met us in Williams to ride the Polar Express. We stayed in Caboose #2, it has three queen beds, two of which are bunk beds. The room is small for two families but it certainly added to the train experience weekend! The beds were comfortable, just beware of the bunk beds, they'll nearly knock you...
