La Posada is an eccentric, charming hotel. Rooms are nicely decorated in southwestern style, were clean and comfortable. The hotel staff is friendly, and the adjoining Turquoise Room restaurant is amazing!

What? What is with the ear plugs? Well we found out that night. The hotel is very close to a very active rail line. Both freight and passenger. The noise is more than one can take. Would request a room away from the tracks. The restaurant was good both at night for dinner and breakfast.

For a treat in both room and restaurant, La Posada, one of the grand old railroad hotels of another era, now quite well rehabbed, should be your destination for an overnight stay as you head either east or west on Interstate 40. Rooms are well appointed, beds comfortable, and the rooms are well maintained/clean. The restaurant is such a treat...

Spectacular as always. Great place for artist/historian minded folks. I try to make it a point to return periodically. Rooms are great. Service wonderful. Dog friendly a huge plus. Romantic setting, as well as family friendly.

This old railroad hotel is under ongoing renovation, but is in good repair for a historic hotel. Art is shown upstairs as well as around the building.Since the hotel was built for the train era,you enter from the back if you are not arriving by train. There is a very nice restaurant in the facility. The grounds are large enough to...

La Posada is the real thing, a beautiful historic boutique hotel. Some historic hotels don't live up to expectations, La Posada exceeds them. From the minute you enter you know you're in for a special stay, the lobby is beautiful and the mix of contemporary art and history is very unique. Rooms are comfortable and beautifully appointed in southwest style...

I just wanted to add my 2 cents worth to the multitude of 5 star reviews on this hotel. My family had 2 rooms here in mid-October 2016 as we meandered on a scenic road trip to Denver. If you are a fan of history, art, architecture, or trains then this is well worth a stay. While I am not...

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times en route to other destinations. It's a far superior choice to anything available in Flagstaff, unless you prefer a large business hotel. We love the old time ambiance, architectural features, and wonderful restaurant. Rooms are comfortable and individually decorated. Art is visible everywhere in the hotel, and the story of...

If you are a fan of trains, or want to romanticize about the age of railroad travel, this place is for you. This hotel was once a stopover for people traveling on the Santa Fe railroad. The tracks behind the hotel are still active - mostly freight but Amtrak also makes stops here. If you have the time, the hotel...

I had only planned to stay one night as this hotel was priced well over my budget ( traveling Route 66)- but after one night I knew I had to stay a second night. The first day I was just taken in by all the history- almost sensory overload-and choose to stay a second night just to relax and enjoy...
