Located away from the bustle of city centre in Lalitpur. Rooms are spaced out over a large area in different buildings - can take some effort to understand the layout and ask for good rooms. The room I had was small, but well equipped. The table was too small. No coffee/tea maker was provided and if you needed coffee you...

I really like this hotel, though the food is pretty bad. I think it has gone downhill over the last year or so, often serving almost inedible and cold food. Love the architecture, pretty gardens. Lovely staff and clean rooms. Stayed here four times and always enjoy it, just wish they would improve the food. No room service after around...

I stayed on business and will make it my accommodation of choice on return visits. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was tasty, well prepared and well priced. The room was a comfortable size. I would have liked a slightly larger desk, but I am being fussy. There are also great gardens to sit in and enjoy....

As residents of Kathmandu we used to visit the Summit for farmer's markets and concerts. It was nice to return a decade later and find it remains a very tranquil and comfortable setting. Our rooms were quiet and comfortable and the gardens and facilities were all well kept. Breakfast was a real treat!

Over 30 years old the hotel was established by a Dutchman and is well built and has become a landmark of Kathmandu - not centrally located but within walking distance of the ancient city of Patan and close to Fewa an excellent cashmere retailer. Service is very good with a stunning view of the Himalaya range and Kathmandu city on...

One remembers the time when Summit was really a Home away from Home - Summit was the best, even in best value for money. The management of the Original team led by Cas de Stoppelaar was superb - & the Manager then -Roger Henke- was the Right Man for this Place. Management has now changed hands twice - & one...

Stayed for the week whilst training. Very fortunate to be invited for the Summits Christmas party. The service and friendliness of management and staff is second to none. Nothing was ever an issue and always willing to oblige. The rooms are simple, comfortable- had two single beds which was fine. If a light sleeper the local dogs maybe an issue...

The Summit hotel is located away from the tourist districts and tucked in on a hill with a lovely view of the Himalaya when the smog allows. It is more a diplomatic hotel with many meetings and conferences on the go ( and the reason we were there ) . It is a reasonable walk to Patan Durbar Square but...

Stayed there for 4 nights, and I just loved it. Clean rooms, brilliant service, very helpful staff and delicious food! Too bad was there nearing the winter time, otherwise I'd love to try the pool, it looked pretty!

Eat the chicken, or other raw delicacies at your peril!! If you accidentally get bitten by a rabid monkey or dog, eat here to die quickly! Other than that, nice pool, great being in Patan and cheap car service from the hotel.
