I was in Kathmandu during the earthquake- April 2015, and stayed at this hotel. It was the safest and the best place to be in Kathmandu that day. The best hospitality ever! The staff was very cooperative and helpful. Most of the staff was awake and helping guests with their problems all night! We had all the basic amenities even...

This is a really good hotel, rooms are simple but more than adequate, really clean and well laid out. It's got lots of different blocks of rooms - the beds have good quality cotton sheets and a decent bathroom. Staff are very friendly and obliging.

A couple of years ago, we stayed at the Summit Hotel for a couple of night after returning from Pokhara and we really appreciated the quiet atmosphere and the nice swimming pool. Staff was friendly and rooms (bungalow close to the pool) were clean and nice.

I was checked into this hotel before the earthquake. The rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and all. Their Friday night barbecue was great. However, I loved them even more, after the earthquake (25 Apr 2015). They accommodated people even if they weren't really checked into their hotel. Their neighbors even came to the hotel to charge their...

My work brought me to Kathmandu and I ended up staying 3 months at The Summit. I love the traditional Newari architecture, views of the Himals, and outdoor patios surrounded by gardens. The food and service are excellent. They have a cozy lounge with several couches and a fireplace, where you can gather with friends or colleagues for drinks or...

Hotel seemed to be hosting multiple conferences when we visited. Is perched slightly above the main city of Khatmandu so is arguably less noisy and dusty but hardly worth staying here if you are only visiting for a few days. They have apartments for longer stays. The food is average and the waiters although jovial and courteous do seem to...

Stayed in the nicest part of the hotel for one night. It is situated on the outskirts of town bout 30 min from the airport. I had booked pick up at airport and was given an early check in and enjoyed breakfast. The hotel is frequented by UN staff and is in a pleasant neighbourhood good for exploring. The hotel...

Away from the hubbub of central Kathmandu, yet still so close. Super friendly staff, good rooms, wonderful view across the valley. Second time staying (on business), and still looking to come back. The restaurant is pretty good as well.

I've stayed here around four times between July 2014 and Jan 2015 since work pays for it. Staff is super professional and nice. They have a low i cost 'budget' option called Holland House which is basically 6-8 private rooms in a level with 3 shared bathrooms/toilets in the hallways. Wifi is free- can't complain. Also food on premises is...
