I stayed in Nepal for two weeks and stay in Hotel Himalaya for 6 days. The rest of time I spent in the rural area. I really have to say these six days really made my trip easier. After the long and tiring trip in rural area, being able to have hot shower, modern room, and nice AC is really...

The hotel is centrally located with a friendly staff supporting your needs/requests for help. The restaurant has various kinds of food that covers what travellers need. The rooms though, could be updated/refirbished even though they are clean. Nothing of the earthquake can be seen in the hotel.

The location was quite good, just a short taxi drive to central Kathmandu. My room was quite spacious, with a view over the gardens. Well appointed amenities, breakfast buffet can be included in the room cost is so desired, exchange US dollars at reception, book tours at Concierge Desk, very happy with everything about this Hotel.

I enjoyed this hotel very much. I had excellent service from the moment I arrived -- at moments, they even went overboard. Breakfast was good (not great), the room was spectacular, everything went well.

I stayed 4 nights for a 2-day international meeting taking place at this hotel. I found it very comfortable as a typical, not very large, international business hotel, somewhat detached from the surrounding city although inside it (Patan, not Kathmandu proper). It has rather luxurious amenities, lush gardens, is fairly quiet, and with nice mountain views. Nothing like staying in...

I have stayed at Himalaya several times. This time just for a night to check out if their services have improved. Their hardware has actually improved, with staircase done with good lighting, room is still well maintained though the bathroom is a little dark and uninviting. However, their reception and concierge remain impersonal and indifferent. Several years ago I used...

Great stay. Breakfast buffet was good and included in room charge...Only gripe is $10 a day for internet charge. Staff was fairly helpful and you can exchange money at a competitive rate. Is about a $4 taxi ride to the nightlife of Thamel

This is my first visit to the beautiful country of Nepal. Honestly i was not expecting this place to be having such nice hotels. Hotel Himalaya is a huge hotel with spacious rooms with modern interior. Though the price is a bit steep i would still recommend this hotel.

Rooms are modern, and clean. Staff (from reception to housekeeping to restaurant to groundskeepers) are all extremely polite and helpful. There is a lovely garden (complete with small Hindu temple) and a swimming pool. Also, a well equipped gym. Breakfast buffet is varied, and plentiful (lots of veggie and Asian options). Always stay here when I come to Nepal, and...
