Stayed for 12 nights on business......rooms spacious and airy, bathrooms ageing but clean and tidy. TV and wifi acceptable, bottled water in room daily. Staff always friendly and efficient. Food Ok without delighting, but always hard for variety over this length of stay. I'd have no qualms about going back.

Welcome oasis in this bustling city. Clean, airy, well maintained property in good location close to Durbar Square & Patan Markets. Beautiful well kept grounds and pool. Tried several rooms over repeat stays and all of very good quality. Executive/Higher floor suites very nice indeed with good views, "sunken" baths & lovely sitting, socialising areas. All staff encountered attentive &...

Stayed in the business suite on the top floor for a three week business trip and it was an excellent experience. It has all the amenities you would expect from a hotel of this calibre, pleasant, clean, well-appointed rooms and pleasant, helpful staff. The food is excellent. Sometimes it's nice to take a break from mo mos and South-Asian food...

Love the Hotel Himalaya for its open welcoming lobby and spacious outdoor courtyard with swimming pool where you can relax with a drink. The security guard and staff are very pleasant and polite. Clean and nice rooms. Nepal is very well wired with free wifi at all hotels, cafes and restaurants but surprisingly NOT at Hotel Himalaya, you are asked...

The lovely gardens provide a peaceful sanctuary from bustling Kathmandu. Buffet breakfast and dinner with a good choice of dishes. Comfortable spacious rooms – we stayed there twice, at the beginning and end of our Nepal tour. On our final stay, we were upgraded to an Executive room (thanks). Our room had air con, TV and coffee/tea making facilities with...

Stayed here for work and found the hotel to be clean and well maintained. My room was cleaned every day to a high standard. The staff were very pleasant. Food at the buffet was a bit limited and also overpriced compared to local competition. There is a pool but the weather meant I never saw anyone in it.

This hotel was very reasonably priced, clean and well staffed. They had just opened a new spa and gym, and it was quite impressive. I visited the spa several times, it was always clean and staffed. The restaurant service was excellent, but the food was mediocre.

Stayed at Himalaya hotel in Kathmandu for one week on a business trip. The hotel is ok, but would benefit from a major renovation. Service at the reception and the restaurant is friendly and good, but you notice that the training is probably slightly different from international well known hotel brands. Beds are comfortable; there is a pool and a...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights before switching to a different hotel. During that time, we moved rooms 3 times. Our first room was a "junior suite" on the 5th floor. When we walked into the room, the first thing we noticed was the smell. The room(s) smell musty and moldy, and the windows are...
