It is a budget accommodation in a naturally beautiful but economically downtrodden and therefore architecturally challenged place in Guatemala. The rooms were clean but the layout was bizarre. It's an adventure to travel so if you are going to nebaj for the accommodation you are really out of it. Nebaj is a place to buy textiles and learn about indigenous...

I realise that this part of Guatemala is very remote and if you must visit the area then I guess you'd have to stay somewhere like this. The area is very interesting but I wonder whether it's worth the discomfort? The room was like a prison cell, not that I've stayed in one! No window, damp, cold and miserable and...

Only $10 a night for a double private room. For this though it only had one pillow and a holey sheet that didn't fit the bed. The hostel was clean-ish but don't expect too much. Warm-ish outdoor shower and a toilet with no flush. There was incredibly loud music due to a local football match which made it impossible to...

Our room at the Ixil was an all around great value. It was also very clean. The owner did give us a good deal, discounted, for 2 nights. After our first day, we returned to a clean room, with obvious signs that our bags had been looked through. Also missing were a few hair ties and some over-the-counter medicines. A...

Nebaj is NOT a tourist town and is pretty remote so don't expect too much from this family run hotel -the rates are EXTREMELY low ,after all! the rooms are clean but dark and old fashioned-blankets a bit "felted"! They made us an evening meal and 2 good breakfasts. If you want to experience REAL life in remote Guatemala -Nebaj is...

You trade remoteness for quality in this place. So you might be the only European faces in town and are a source of amusement. One child threw a plastic bottle at us! The staff are helpful and provided basic breakfasts and one evening meal. If you want to stay in good hotels don't visit Nebaj. If you want to get...

Nebaj is a forgotten town, and thus you cannot except much, and do not expect much from this hotel. The room was basic, and the bathroom a little less than basic. The room are ok, but do not eat in the hotel, as it is too expensive, and the quality really low.

I stayed here the night before starting the trek to Todos Santos (highly recommended / eye opening). I was very comfortable, there was hot water, and plenty of warm blankets - its cold in november. Come to the Nebaj/ Ixil Region with realistic expectations - it is a rough place, the region has a brutal history (which you will be...

Hotel Ixil is the best in town for this price range. It looks locked up but you wrap at the garage door and they come to open it for you. Nebaj itself was a big disappointment. Rated as a hiking destination in Lonely Planet this age has passed. We found the tour operators to be disorganized, there is no map...

There are lights, hot water for showers and clean beds. The place seems secure. The staff is very helpful. There is a room where you can meet with your group. Above average for the area. Nebaj is not a tourist area. It is in the Ixil region of Guatemala. It's room rate is a bit more than original Motel 6...
