After spending a night in a private room in a hostel, I was ready to find a more peaceful atmosphere and went to Bosque. Very happy I did. I found the bed Very comfortable, wayyyy quieter than the comings and goings of the young hostel crowd, and the rooms large, with nice decor. For me, single female mid 40's traveler,...

A friend and I stayed here for 2 nights while backpacking through Guatemala. We checked a fancier place first but they didn't have a room with two beds and the price was high (over $100 per night). El Bosque was arpund $40 per night and had a room that suited out needs. The rooms are basic and rustic. The decore...

Easy to find and very beautiful gardens. The room was ok, bed wasn't too comfortable but I was only there one night. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very helpful. However, my breakfast was not included in the price of the hotel, as other guests noted. I was glad to have earplugs as the walls are definitely not sound...

We stayed at this hotel with my mother and siblings. It was a nice, peaceful place surrounded by gardens filled with trees. It is found within walking distance to the lake. The rooms were nice and cozy. The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was included, which is a good bonus to the place. However no other meals...

If you want to feel close to nature and to get as far away as possible from the stress of a hurried life in a large city, you will love this place! Bosque Encantado is located within a few hundred feet from the lakeshore, in a maze of narrow foot paths (no cars may go near the hotel, as the...

This is the place to go when in San Marcos! The area is quiet and the service from the staff is wonderful. Clean and spacious rooms and their breakfast is outstanding. It's truly an enchanted little forest, with the wonderful garden I highly recommend it.

My brother and I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Terry, on our inflight to Guatemala. She gave us her business card and invited us to stay at her hotel since we had planned on staying at Lago Atitlan for 4-5 days. Sure enough, we stayed at her hotel for the last leg of our trip. The hotel is...

I didn't stay here, I only had a coffee but loved the location. It was very prettily decorated with love to detail. The staff was really nice and the coffee great. You can find it when you're coming from the pier going up to the village.

We stopped here after getting off a boat from Pana in the search for breakfast. We loved it! The restaurant is tucked away and every table makes you really feel like you are in the rain forest. It was such a nice break from Pana with no noisy tuk tuks or vendors coming by your table. Just peace and quiet!...

We were under the impression that there was a double bed in the loft area and another bed downstairs in the room (probably from Lonely Planet). The two beds are actually downstairs. There is a loft but ours just had some bare mattresses leaning up against the wall and broken glass in the windows. The beds were quite comfortable though....
