We were looking for relatively inexpensive accommodation so at 64 euros per night this was ok. It is relatively isolated from town but fine if you have a vehicle, and close to the monasteries. The owners are friendly enough, but persistent with wanting to know if you want to eat there. Rooms are basic but were ok for us. Wifi... More

The guesthouse is about 4 km out of town. Great views and the rooms are clean and tidy. The price is also reasonable. My wife and I have travelled extensively and have never come across an owner of accommodation like Costas. He is very opinionated and is not always correct, rude and likes to touch you which is wrong in... More

We chose this guesthouse because it was close to the monasteries. We took a taxi to get there (cost only about 6 euroes) after a train ride to Kalampaka. The owner offered to take us to the first monastery by motorcycle free of charge the next morning and we had a good time climbing the monasteries and walked back to... More

We (two people) arrived there in the evening looking for a place to stay over night. We had seen an offer on booking.com for 34 € per night, including breakfast. However, as we were there we wanted to see first what it looks like. The owner showed us a room which did not look great but would have been ok... More

Simple cozy hostel in a quiet place away from the bustle of the city. Easily accessible by private car. Pleasant and helpful owner. The price is not high. Delicious food. Without the luxury. The hostel is located near Meteora, which is very convenient.

Very well managed, efficient, no frills, direct approach though familair, charming... being there and talking to the manager will make you feel at ease, as if a good friend is telling you about his own experience on the place. Wide, sunny, quiet rooms. Extremely well placed in a countryside area, mid way between the city and the monasteries area.

Beware. Something dramatic has happened between the website publication in 2008 and the present (2015). The current guest house has no resemblance to the web description, quite the contrary. I had a room reserved for two nights, but had to leave after one.

As every one says in earlyer comment, yes Costas, the hotel manager is a really insistant and special personnage, but for us, it was in a good way. We don't think he meant it to be rude, he is just limited in his english and what you to have the best experience. If what he offers you doesn't please you,... More

We stayed at this place for two nights. First we were impressed by the (still) very fair price for a room, but after arriving we had some difficulties. The host costas is actually a helpful person, but has a quite "difficult" personality. Since the hotel is hard to reach for backpackers without a car he proposed to pick us up... More

Guesthouse Arsenis has a wonderful location, great for visiting the Meteora Monasteries and close to the town center. Wonderful views of the valley and the great rocks (one with a monastery atop) The family owned Inn was very warm and friendly and met all our needs, very clean, nice food, wifi, great at giving directions. Panos, (who I think may... More
