Had a family room for one night. Room large but very outdated and in desperate need of refurbishment. Dinner in restaurant very mediocre. Best thing was wake up call for Northern Lights. Breakfast fairly plentiful. Staff okay.

We stayed at Sel Hotel Myvatn for 2 nights. The hotel room and restroom was consider very spacious for 3 persons. One of the great thing is that they have aurora alarm if there is aurora outside, they will alert us immediately! The breakfast was simple and nice and their dining area comfy and cosy too! Definitely will come back...

Our room 316 was large, modern and clean, with everything you may need. Nice size bathroom with a huge countertop sink and bath tub. We had a large window facing the lake with a lovely view. We did request a top floor with view of the lake in the new section. Extensive buffet breakfast and free Wi-Fi was excellent in...

Stayed here as part of an organised tour. Lovely hotel and nice big and comfortable room. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom. Happy hour in bar from 4 - 6 pm. Great breakfast - loved the waffles. Thanks for the northern lights wake up call. Would recommend.

Visited Myvatn and stayed at Sel. Good accommodations. Nice and friendly staff. Breakfast was always good. A good hotel to be in when visiting the Myvatn area. They have a restaurant in he hotel that serves good food and the hotel is also situated near popular eating places within a 10 km radius. They also have a nice conference area...

Loved this hotel. It doesn't look grant or new externally compared to some of the latest addition of hotels in the surrounding. But when we saw the room, we were impressed by the interior. We were told that it was newly renovated in late 2015. Everything was new and clean. Went into the toilet and realised the toilet was heated...

Stayed two nights during our recent visit to Iceland. Unfortunately the hotel rooms were outdated and in desperate need of remodeling. Not what we expected when we booked the hotel but maybe they were showing pictures of remodeled rooms. On top of that the service was poor, after the first night the room wasn't cleaned, glasses were still on the...

Hotel is clean, comfortable and warm. The location is ideal to explore the Myvatn area, which is a beautiful region! Importantly the staff, in particular Marcin, are very attentive. I was particularly grateful for his advice on how best to capture the aurora with my camera. I would encourage the hotel to take this into account and consider offering this...

The Sel Hotel Myvatn was the perfect place to stop. It is a quiet strip of road with a convenient store next door that offers all you can eat soup, while allowing you to browse for trinkets to take back home. The hotel itself had a lovely dinner, offering both a buffet and regular menu. The breakfast was a large...
