It's a nice location, quiet and dark ... So it was the perfect opportunity to catch the lights, as each room had a back door out to the grass fields too. Everything seemed new and clean, the only issue we had was with the shower area. The shower curtain was infringing into the toilet bowl's area, and there was not... More

We stayed here the night before a glacier climb in Skatafell due to it's price and proximity (30 min drive). The hotel is very basic but was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a small restaurant with a very limited menu that is expensive- as with most restaurants in Iceland. The breakfast buffet in the morning was decent, with more... More

Stayed here on the way back from an ice cave tour near the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. Stayed in budget accommodation in Reykjavik so nice to have a bit more comfort. Rooms are very modern and comfortable. There is nothing to do in the area at night (stayed in November) so enjoyed a nice but expensive meal at the hotel restaurant.... More

Good location. Value for money. Breakfast is included and breakfast is good. Environment is good. But don't buy post card there, very very expensive compare to other tourist places. is the weather is good, open the room door you can see Aurora.

We stayed for 2 nights in November 2016. The hotel is pretty much in the middle of nowhere so it is great for trying to see an aurora as there is very little light pollution. The staff will knock on your door if they see activity, but only up until midnight when the desk closes. They provide a large breakfast... More

This hotel is wonderful! They wake you up until midnight to see the Northern Lights if you sign up at the front desk. Super friendly desk staff! The food in the restaurant was expensive, but the breakfast was free and delicious! The room and bathroom were both clean and warm. There is a door in the each room leading outside,... More

Arrived during a storm without reservation - highway 1 was closed just east of this hotel and we couldn't reach our intended destination. Staff here were extremely helpful, even to the point of telephoning the original hotel we had booked and having them cancel without charge. Accommodation at the Fosshotel was better than expected, and relatively good value for Iceland.... More

We were on our way to the Foss Hotel Glacier Lagoon when the roads were closed due to a storm. We were turned around and stopped at the Foss Hotel Nupar. It was a great basic hotel and they were able to accomodate us as well as others that were headed east that evening and were turned around due to... More

Fine hotel in the middle of nowhere. Beds are good. Rooms are okay. Bathroom looks a bit cheap but is good. Good showers. Breakfast is good. Plenty of choice. No atmosphere is the restaurant. Quality of the food is good. Price is high.

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the rooms are clean but basic and the shower was amazingly hot and powerful. There is a very strange thing going on with the electrics at this hotel, if you attempt to use the kettle the same time you have the heater on (in November you need this) the electrics in your...
