This hotel is located in a great location, rooms are clean and very large by local comparisons. Restaurant very nice and even had live piano music all during dinner. Staff everywhere and very friendly. A+

I will start by saying I don't like writing negative reviews. But sorry to say, of the 5 hotels we stayed at during our 12 day trip to Iceland, this one was the worst. The bad: There were no bath towels in our room (only a couple of hand towels) when we checked in. I had to walk all the way up to the main building to get them. There were no sheers or blinds under the blackout curtains. With people constantly walking past our large window, we had no choice but to close the blackout curtains for privacy, even during the day. Yet, we noticed when we walked by other rooms that many of them had lace sheers. We did not pay a cheap price for our room, so not sure why something so basic was missing. The hot tubs, while a nice touch, felt unclean with all the spider webs and soot around. The only good thing about the spider webs were that they caught some of the hundreds of black gnats swarming around the tubs. The good: The restaurant offered a great breakfast and delicious dinner. Had it not been for this, I would have rated this hotel 1 star. We would never stay here again. It's a deceptive practice to bill something as 5 stars when it is nowhere near that. Not worth the price paid - would definitely explore other options in the area for better value for the money.

Great place, nice and clean places. The kitchen in the big apartment needs more tools and dishes - not really equipped for a full house. Great breakfast and very nice staff! We enjoyed the stay very much!

We just checked out today and I was waiting to write this after I left . The stay was really nice clean rooms and love the restaurant, but the Staff!!! There is a woma working there named zarah or Sarah or Sara something like that with dark hair on the bigger size she is HORRIBLE! She’s so freaking rude ! I asked for more water she said haven’t u had enough water ! Who dose that ! I’m paying a lot of money to stay here and she can’t give me water ! Then in breakfast she had an attitude that was just pure rude ! One time I was getting eggs they wore finished I asked her if she could fill it up she was doing something not important and she just said that’s not my problem, she’s horrible addition for this wonderful hotel ! I hope she gets fired she’s rude to other costumers too I saw it it was just a horrible deal breaker and then she was gossiping about my cloths how they were horrible marches together i over heard it when I was walking out after dinner , she’s just not good for this hotel she ruins experiences here at this pretty place with her ugly rude attitude.

Nice accommodations in segregated buildings that are all designated by country flags. The main building hosts the lobby and restaurant. Both dinner and breakfast were amazing as was the service. A great location to end the day on the golden circle!

This was a lovely hotel with a wonderful breakfast and helpful staff. The room was nice and comfortable and we did have a very good dinner one of the three nights we stayed. BUT it was not exactly what we would have expected for a 5 star hotel and the $500 a night price tag, which would be an extraordinarily unique hotel with beautiful scenery. Selfoss area would have been just as good for exploring the area especially since we spent most of the day out exploring and came back late to sleep.

Lovely modern European vibe. Super clean and quiet and while off the ring road a bit, very accessible to many great sites on Iceland's southern coast. The staff is friendly and helpful, food is excellent. Breakfast buffet is worth adding to your room cost
