We had a nice stay at Julia's place, filled with wonderful animals and lots of personality. The double room was the right size for two staying just one night, bathroom was always clean though there was a bit of a wait in the morning as we were 6 to one bathroom. Breakfast was great, bread, homemade jams, smoked salmon, cheeses...

Positives: Julia and her partner are welcoming. House is WELL off the main road so no highway noise and, dark enough that we did see some Northern Lights from tnext to the house. Breakfast generous and includes eggs from their own chickens. And, if you are missing your pets from home, the two cats, the rabbit and the budgerigars in...

Don't hesitate to stay with Julia if you like a nice home style atmosphere with lovely touches everywhere you look. Nice pets, chicken running around. The most amazing breakfasts. We set out later than planned because we were enjoying our coffee and conversation with Julia after breakfast. Will stay again when in Iceland.

We stayed only one night at Julia, but felt like home. Together with two other guests and Julia we ate for dinner in her charming and a bit chaotic kitchen. Breakfast was really great with fresh, homemade bread, homemade marmelads, salmon, cheese and cereals. We loved the atmosphere at Julias with her lovebird, the bunny, some cats - and an...

Two km west of the Ringroad in Hnaus, a neighbourhood of some houses and 5 km east of Selfoss, there is a excellent B&B for one or more nights. Very nice people, Julia and Maik, who run the place. Very hospitable and easygoing. We had a great room for three nights with a view: Hekla and the Ejya. It's possible...

I loved this place! Julia and Mike were perfect host and wonderfully warm people. Their house is a home and we were made to feel a part of it from the moment we arrived. Even fluffy, the house rabbit, made a special effort to welcome us (nose on my feet, demanding attention. It's a rabbit after all). The breakfast was...

A clean, cosy home with very friendly hosts and pets! A true home away from home. The house has everything you need and the hosts Julia and Mike are very approachable if you need any advice and assistance. The house is beautifully styled and the breakfast second to none. I can't wait to go back.

We stayed one night in the winter and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Breakfast was amazing! Our room was clean, comfortable and warm. We stayed in the triple and it was perfect for our small family - it has a private toilet and sink which was really nice. The shared shower downstairs was also very clean. My daughter...
