We spent 4 fabulous nights here and everything was just perfect. The room was very comfortable with everything you need and a great view. As for the breakfasts this has to be the just the best anywhere. The bar is lovely warm and welcoming and the menu is very varied and we had some super meals there. Add to this...

The town of Monkstown is about a half hour's drive from Cork city and it's there you will find the Bosun bar and restaurant overlooking Cork harbour. We went there recently for lunch and our party of seven was not disappointed with our choice of venue. We ate in the bar and were treated to beautiful fare. The service was...

We recently stayed three nights at The Bosun and were delighted to find we were on the top floor with, I suspect, a larger than average room (a double and a single bed),a bowl of welcome strawberries,a chocolate on each pillow and great biscuits on the coffee tray! The establishment was comfortable, clean, everyone was very welcoming, the service was...

Had lunch here recently and was very disappointed. I has a medley of fish which came with potatoe veg and chips. The fish was over cooked and when I complained the waiter "whipped" the plate away not asking if there was anything else I would prefer. Less than 3 mins later a fillet of cod on arrived on a plate...

Many of our friends and family stayed in the Bosun for a couple of nights before the wedding. The rooms were lovely with fresh fruit , snacks ad tea and coffee facilities. Everyone commented on how friendly the staff...

Our experience in the restaurant got off to to a rocky start when I asked for a plate of mashed potatoes and vegetables (as there isn't too much on offer for a vegetarian) and was told 'we don't do just sides' and I was to pick something from the menu, then a minute later I was offered a vegetarian plate...

Nice friendly staff with lovely views over the harbour. Great place to get fish. I would of expected more of a selection on the menu. The food itself is nice but nothing special. The dining area could do with been updated.

Best open prawn sandwich ever! Extensive menu with loads of variety! Extremely friendly and even better very competent staff ! Their rib of beef is exceptional! My parents just love this restaurant and at their age this is a feat in itself. Thank you

My wife & I had dinner here seven years ago, & today we returned for lunch. It was great then, & still is! Super friendly staff, with a great range of beers on tap! The menu doesn't disappoint either, with a great variety of excellent pub food. Well worth the drive to find this gem in Monkstown!
