From the outside, the Shearwater hotel reflects its four-star rating - striking, big and imposing. So, cutting to the chase,... More

Stayed for a Saturday night with a friend. Rooms are lovely, good standard & nicely decorated. Had a bite to eat off the set menu in the bar, was good value food. Used gym, nice set up serviced it purpose. Only small gripe music was advertised for the bar that evening & it didn't appear.

Dear 09Guby55, Great to learn of your positive experience at the Shearwater hotel, but apologies for the lack of live entertainment in our bar, which takes place every Friday and Saturday night. Unfortunately we received a very late cancellation making it very difficult to find an alternative option. Many thanks for the feedback. Kind regards, Garrett McGuinness More

Dear Karenk0824, Many thanks for the feedback and our new canal bar menu is being received very well by hotel guests and local clientele alike. The fresh fish of the day cooked papillote style on one of our Hot rock stones, is proving very popular: both tasty and a very healthy way of eating. The Kitchen team will be delighted... More

Hi, had a family meal here recently. Food was gorgeous, but the night was made by the friendly staff especially the young man delivering food to our table-Stephen. Friendly and chatty and made us feel welcome checking food was ok before he left the table.
