Our recent stay at the Abbey Hotel in Roscommon was baffling. Mind you I am not talking about the staff one bit, that is the only thing the hotel has going for them is the nice staff. I was hesitant in leaving this review since past reviews that were left like this were handled unprofessionally by the manager and feel...

Had lovely two night stay here. Bedroom was favulous and facilities were good. The one criticism I have is food was a bit restrictive for me with few choices that suited my diet. Should have made the hotel well aware in advance rather than just when I arrived.

Stayed for two nights with my girlfriend just before valentines and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed. The staff were friendly, food superb and boasts spacious rooms. It's also walking distance to anywhere in town you might like to visit. Will definitely be back.

First time here and it lived up to everything we had heard about it. Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful surroundings. only complaint was the steak on the first night was a bit grizzly but otherwise the food was excellent.

we booked a romantic castle getaway for this hotel, but the room we were allocated ws far from romantic, it was cold, dull and out dated very disappointing. However the one redeeming factor was the lounge area is lovely and relaxing and the young lounge staff are friendly and helpful and the food is really lovely.

My recent trip to Roscommon was a very pleasant one. The friendliness of the people I encountered from the service station to the small shop and the staff at the Abbey hotel. As I was checking in I enquired about the area I needed to be in the following morning; how far it was, which direction, etc., and as the...

Once you turn into the drive way, you know you've arrived at someplace special. And the hotel doesn't disappoint in any way. Reception staff were both professional and genuinely friendly. Our room was spacious with loads of space for 3 adults to move about comfortably. The view of the Abbey, from our room, was an unexpected delight.
