What I thought was going to be a nice snack turned into an amazing well cooked meal for me and the family , fresh salmon that melted in my mouth but I love fish and this was a great lunch for me and for desert a traditional bread & butter pudding with custard with strawberry cream and lightly dusted with...

Gleesons townhouse and restaurant in Roscommon main street is well worth a visit. The staff are friendly, professional, the menu is ok..slightly limited but freshly prepared and cooked.Fresh homemade soup daily. The old world feeling of the place captured me.The open fires were kept well stocked up and the armchairs around the reception area were a nice touch.

After a very disappointing experience in another establishment in roscommon my partner and I thought we'd give Gleeson's a go as the Easter Sunday menu really caught my eye. Upon arrival we were greeted with a friendly smile snd shown to our seats. From observation it was obvious all staff were well trained and enjoyed work. Our waitress had short...

It's the only place to stay in town as it's central. Beautiful garden. Very pleasant. Suites are lovely. However service is desperate and tables need to be cleaned off much faster. Also if sitting outside its very hard to get served and its very irritating to have to keep going in. Also I had to carry my own tray of...

I loved this place! Perfectly situated in the heart of the town, with a lovely courtyard, a cozy lobby, and beautiful rooms. Mary and Eamon were warm and welcoming, made us feel like family. And the food was phenomenal -- definitely a place worth visiting even if you're not spending the night. I would absolutely stay here again.

A really friendly welcome at Gleesons in the centre of a bustling and interesting Roscommon town. Great touches with a turf fire warming the welcoming lobby. Comfortable bed and really good food. Not to many places give you a complementary coffee and home made scone on arrival. Recommended.

Aside from forgetting to pick me up at the train, everything was terrific because of the friendliness and attention I received. The food was fantastic with ample portions that tasted great. I will return here on any future visits to Roscommon.

We have stayed at Gleesons off and on for the past six years. The welcome is always friendly. The staff are excellent and the facilities faultless. The Gleesons, Mary and Eamonn will go that extra mile to be helpful. They pride themselves - rightly - on their cuisine. When you take into account the quality of the food, comfort of...

Stayed in Gleesans for one night at the end of February. All I can say is that this was one of the best experiences we have had. I could not fault any aspect of the establishment, beautiful building, excellent staff, great rooms, food and value. And great location too. Only regret is that we did not have dinner there. Will...

Just back from a short break at Gleeson's Townhouse & Restaurant in Roscommon. A lovely town, full of very interesting architecture, and some very good shops. Gleeson's Townhouse is a very nicely converted and extended Manse, and has preserved the charm of the old house. Entry to reception brings you into the old parlour, where we sat and read by...
