Another local hotel's receptionist gave me the number to this B and B, so I was able to book in the last minute on a weekend when the area was busy. Our room was very clean, quite large with comfortable beds and the view to the bay was fantastic. Next time I won't look for a place, but head straight...

We were very fortunate to be able to stay with Carmel in her lovely B&B overlooking the water and glorious mountain landscapes. Carmel accommodated us on very short notice and was a fantastic host. The room was generous in size and had a fabulous view. We would definitely return to stay at Shearwater.

Carmel and her husband are excellent hosts and did all they could to make our visit enjoyable. We had a front bedroom, lovely, spacious and bright, overlooking the bay. It's just ten minutes walk into the centre of Strandhill and we would certainly return there next time we visit this area.

Stayed here twice, once in 2010 and returned in 2012 and will return again next time I'm in Ireland. B&B is located in a beautiful area. The beach is just a short walk down the road. Carmel is an excellent hostess.
