My wife and I had a lovely stay at Bayly Farm during our most recent trip to Ireland. It's a splendid place right out of a storybook, with lovely views of farmland, mountains and hills for miles on end. There are walking paths around the property that offer a peaceful respite and more wonderful views of the countryside. The rooms... More

We were here when we had a wedding in Nenagh. This family home is what is best about rural Ireland We had a very nice stay, very accommodating with great charm. Would definitely recommend as a place to discover North Tipperary.

This house is situated in a most beautiful location and is only a short distance away from Nenagh town. The only "Sound Around" is that of the countryside with the singing of the birds to greet you first thing in the morning. There are great big friendly smiles to greet you on arrival, fresh home cooking on the breakfast table... More

Jackie and Desmond made our stay completely relaxing and enjoyable. Our room was enormous and the beds super-comfy and we had everything we needed, including fresh well-water! Breakfast was fresh and delicious, wellies were offered for the local walks and route maps were available as well as lots of information on local eateries. On our last night we cosied up... More

After a long day of sailing on Lough Derg, Bayly Farm was the perfect place to unwind and recoup. You are assured of a genuinely warm welcome which at the same time manages to be reassuringly business like. Jackie and Desmond couldn't do enough to help with every request. My room was plush and comfortable and the breakfast simply a... More

A very special place to step easily out of the world and into a quiet timelessness. Atmospheric, unpretentious and deeply restful. Desmond and Jacqueline are gracious understated hosts. We will be back. The rooms are beautifully proportioned and everything is homely and cosy.

We came across this place because we were looking for somewhere which was dog friendly. We stayed two nights in July and it was wonderful, even though the weather was crap. We ate in the house on the second night: our host produced a wonderful three-course meal. It was as good as any 4* or 5* star restaurant found in... More

Stayed here as was visiting Nenagh for wedding. Greeted warmly by Jacqueline who showed us to a lovely room. When we asked for a taxi number she volunteered to give us a lift into town. Breakfast was yummy. Great place

Jacque and Desmond are wonderful, friendly hosts! We were greeted with a smile, hot tea and cake, just what we needed after landing at Shannon. Jacque suggested a drive to the lake which was lovely. The house was beautiful and very clean. The beds were very comfy and rooms beautifully appointed. There was a vase a fresh sweet pea flowers... More

We chose Baylys as we wanted to stay close to Nenagh to explore family roots. Baylys is an historic family home set in the countryside a few kilometres outside Nenagh but easily drivable to restaurants, attractions further South etc. Jackie and Desmond really spare nothing in making your stay as comfortable and hassle free as possible. The beds are super... More

Bayly Farm is a delightful historic house, owned by Desmond and Jacqueline Bayly. The house, which remains largely unchanged, but enjoys all modern facilities, has been in the ownership of the Bayly family since it was built in the early 19th century. A most distinguished visitor was Sir William Rowan Hamilton, the world-famous mathematician and physicist. He married Helen Bayly in 1833 and the couple spent their honeymoon at Bayly Farm. Situated on a 130 acre working farm, Bayly Farm offers excellent accommodation in a tranquil rural setting, looking towards the Silvermines Mountains. ... more   less
