We booked our stay last minute on Trip Advisor. We stayed on a Sunday night, and learned the chef was unavailable that night. This was not a problem as there were a couple of descent restaurants a few miles down the road in the town of Pergusa. The room was outstanding, with rustic features but modernized. The pool and grounds...

After a long drive we immediately were told that they gave out reservation to someone an hour later. However they would honor our rate at a sister hotel that was 10 miles away, had no restaurant and was 30 dollars cheaper. To make matters worse we would have to pay higher rate. Hotel offered us dinner at full price plus...

I am not really sure what to make of our stay here. We chose the Agriturismo because we wanted to visit the Roman Villa. This was the highlight of our trip to Sicily, but we found Bannata a little dissappointing. We found the Agriturismo easily but when we arrived we wandered around the property quite some time before we found...

My husband and I spent 2 nights at this Agriturismo. It is beautifully furnished in a rustic style with modern touches in places where you appreciate them such as the glass enclosed shower and plumbing fixtures. The property is beautiful set in the countryside with nothing around but peace and quiet and the smell of eucalyptus and pine from the...

There are six rooms and we had 'Laura'. The room was cosy, with a much-appreciated fan that kept us cool, and the bed was very comfy. The rooms are in what must once have been farm buildings and the atmosphere is therefore 'rustic', which we loved. Our only slight concern was the four rough stone steps down to the bathroom,...

18th century farmhouse with many old implements and stones lain around the extensive grounds. Several wonderful relaxing places to just sit: under the trees, next to the pool, on rocking chairs outside the room, on benches in the gardens. It is all very carefully designed to create private yet continuous, naturalistic spaces. The pool was very well maintained and with...

I love this place! My boyfriend and I stayed for three days, and found it a great location for visiting the nearby archaeological sites and medieval hilltop towns. The estate is stunningly beautiful, with rustic stone buildings, colorful flowers, refreshing swimming pool, and scenic country surroundings. Our room, called "Laura" was just lovely - the perfect combination of rustic (the...

Beautiful old farmhouse, with wonderful bedrooms. Ours was a suite, full of lovely old antiques. We felt like we were guests of the owners, not paying customers. We were there in May & it was chilly, so pool was not opened yet. Took hikes, played with the dog, felt right at home. Dinner was a major full course Sicilian affair.

We greatly enjoyed staying in this large restored farmhouse near Piazza Armerina. The accommodation is not self-contained and the Wi-Fi is somewhat erratic, but the gardens, the general ambience, the fittings and furnishings in the room and the excellent hosting more than made up for any deficiencies. The bathroom was wonderful, with twin showers. We asked for and received an...

We stayed at the Agriturismo Bannata for a few days and we were enjoyed every minute of it (especially the meals!). Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The name of the country house B&B "Bannata", which is also the same name of the area that it is located in Enna, derives from Arab meaning "land kissed by the sun". The stone farm house style of typical 19th Century inland Sicilian architecture is also accompanied by a preexisting structure from the 18th century in which lived herders and farm animals. They both are surrounded by rocky hillside named Bannata- Restivo and woods centuries old. ... more   less
