This farm is very rustic with a lot of comfort. The proprietors, Marcella and Pietro, were extremely forthcoming answering any question we had on the food, environs, farming, Sicilian history--anything. Marcella even shared her recipes upon request. Our meals, by the way, were delicious and the portions were generous.

My son and I did a one week tour of Sicily on Vespas and stayed here one night. The owners were wonderful at making us feel welcome and had lots of information about the region. Marcella speaks excellent English and she and Pietro took the time show us the sulfur mining area and how they pick and hand process saffron... More

Our family of four stayed in a very comfortable room in October. The interior of Sicily is quite different from the coast and we enjoyed the change- it is a very peaceful setting. We found the dinner interesting with dishes we did not see elsewhere is Sicily- serving sizes were huge. It was a peaceful quiet place, very relaxing just... More

My friend and I were the only guests at this remote "farm vacation' agrituriismo in high season and while the terrace and view were pleasant and the room just fine, the pre-arranged home-cooked dinner was disappointing and the breakfast was the skimpiest we experienced in Sicily. The word "pool" was covered up on the sign giving directions around the property.... More

We have spent quite a lot of time trying to get to this place from Enna (for some reason our navigator was leading us off the main roads) but it was worth it! Spectacular view, nice and clean rooms - suatable for various combinations of guests and the dinner.... it was such a great experience! I loved the selection of... More

This is the place to go if you want to learn something about Sicilian traditional cooking, and its not overpriced either as some Argriturismi are. Not difficult to find at all and not far from Enna. Go to the trenmuseo in Villarosa which explains more about the area (especially if you can speak Italian.

Last week, while driving across Sicily, we happened upon San Giovannello, a wonderful agritourismo run by Marcella and Pietro, who have dedicated themselves to reviving the indigenous seed-stock of the land. The farm itself has been in their family since 1500, when it was deeded to them by the Spanish king. They were extremely accommodating and discussed with us the... More

My parents and I stayed at Agriturismo San Giovannello from April 7-9 and had a lovely time there. Situated in southern Sicily, staying at San Giovannello gave us an opportunity to explore the Sicilian countryside, and we thoroughly enjoyed driving around the beautiful area. After a full day, it was great to return to San Giovannello and be welcomed by... More
