We were on a cycling trip with Trek travel and spent two nights here. Employees were especially courteous. Beautiful public rooms since a renovated convent with great views. Golf is close if you like that but also a very nice natural walking/running trail overlooking Antequerra. Great breakfast buffet but no dinner. Rooms very large bathroom with working jacuzzi tubs.

La Magdalena is located in a breathtaking mountain area. It claims to have 5 stars and the location is indeed 5 stars. We will certainly come here again but there are a few things during our saturday to monday visit the last weekend in april that not really match the 5 stars: The room we were asigned was room 101...

We booked a 2 day stay in this place in February via booking.com to 4-6 May. One day before the stay the hotel sent us a message cancelling the stay due to overbooking. They tried to put us in other hotel (with less quality, but from the same company) for the same price we paid to Convento de la Magdalena....

My husband and I stayed initially for one night in April then was due to move on to stay at a different hotel for the rest of our break. However, after arriving at the 2nd hotel there was no comparison to this one and ended up returning for a further 3 days as we enjoyed it here so much. On...

A unique experience staying in a former convent. I kept imaging what it would have been like to be a resident in this place when it was a convent. I found it a little creepy, but interesting. The bedroom was a little small, but then there was a separate sitting room (this was a nun's apartment, but was it for...

Stayed 4 nights with a family in two connected double rooms. Located few kilometers from the attractive town of Antequera in a relaxing natural surrounding. Interesting building, a former monastery. Room was fine, with direct access to a nice garden. Very good breakfast, excellent choice. Dinner was also good, choice for vegetarians is somewhat limited, service is a bit slow,...

We stayed with our adult daughter for 3 nights in March, weather was OK, so didn't need air con or heating. We were given 2 bedrooms with a shared lounge area which was really nice. Breakfast was excellent, mainly continental with wide selection, but will cook to order. We ate there one night at the bar and had drinks, pricing...

What a disappointment this hotel was. It is listed as a 5 star hotel and it is most definitely not. The room we were given was ok. The shower had seen better days and was difficult to operate. The decor was tired looking and it seems that some investment is needed. The duvet on the bed did not have a...

Booked with British Airways to stay in a standard double at this establishment for the two nights of the 12th and 13th of March 2017. Upon arrival we were given the keys to room 101.When opening the door and finding a light switch, a must given this room has no windows, we climbed two flights of stairs to the creepiest...

My husband and I had reserved a room for a 3 night stay, together with our dog who had been approved by telephone. To our astonishment, upon arrival we were informed that the hotel was fully booked and that we had been re-booked in Hotel Antequera in the town. For obvious reasons we found this totally unacceptable. Obviously I cannot...
