I don’t know how this hotel is rated 4 star. Built in 1960 it hasn’t changed since and badly needs a revamp. Service was terrible. No one is in charge - we didn’t come across a manager in the three days of our stay. No acting as maitre d in the restaurant either morning or evening. Dirty tables, chipped delph and glasses, limited restaurant offering. The only thing going for this Parador is the location but there are many other hotels in the area. Check the out.
This Paradore is in a wonderful location. So peaceful and tranquil here. The grounds and pool area are lovely. Fab scenery. Rooms are pretty basic but spotlessly clean. Restaurant is great- top quality dishes reflecting local environment. Staff a little stuffy but very efficient.
A stunning hotel, surrounded by nature. The hotel itself is clean and nice. The rooms are spacious, also clean and comfortable. I love the free gifts they give for your dogs. There is a large indoor space with couches if you want to relax out of your room. You can walk around the large lawn that leads to the pool, great for dogs who need a run around. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor spacing. Unfortunately, that's about it. Up in the middle of the forest, there wasn't that extra something unique for guests to experience in the hotel. There needs to be extra things for guests to enjoy, as they are so far away. The restaurant also needs a huge revamp! It's great to see that they take measures for COVID (guests have their own tongs to take food from the buffet) and there is a la carte options too. However, the food is really lacking finesse. Some of the waiters and waitresses were just ready to have their shift finished to leave, it was that obvious. However, Carmen Sanchez was lovely!! She was very attentive, friendly and cheerful.…
Located in full nature, this hotel could become a reference among hotels in nature as soon as they make an investment that achieves modern and luxurious facilities since it was built in the 60s and has undergone little improvement since then.
An amazing location. A return visit for me to this escapist Paradore - miles from anywhere and set in lush vegetation at the top of a very windy road! Aparently built in the 1960's but feels much older. Decor is sort of country lodge. Spacious public areas. Bedrooms and bathrooms could really do with a refurb but the place has a certain charm about it. Very relaxing stay here. The views are amazing. Total tranquility. Good restaurant on site- good job as nearest other restaurant is a good few km away ! Efficient and friendly staff. Time now to depart to my other mountain retreat and I hope to re- surface in Puerto de Mazarron late August - covid19 permitting the travelling.
