Extremely welcoming owner, Jesus, very cute and gracious in every way. He is also an artist with lovely pieces of his work throughout this hostel. Location is rad! Close to the action down in the old quarter. Nice little bar in the reception area. All in all: safe, clean, beautiful tiles on stairs. Our 60 euro room on 2nd floor...

When I arrived in Tarifa I had quickly managed to find El Asturiano. Upon arrival the door were locked and there was a chap in front saying that the hotel is closed today and the owner had left and will not come back until tomorrow. I really recomend this place: rooms are in typical spanish/morocan style and very clean, air conditioned, and quiet. With a little addiction you can have room infront of the sea, and you can see the castle and the maroccan coast. But the real plus is the owner of the hotel Jesus: absolutely the one you need for a vacation in...

I stayed at El Asturiano on two separate occasions, before and after a short trip to Morocco. It was a nice hostal, and my single room was very comfortable. It was a perfect location for me, right at the entry into the old city, and half way between the bus station, and the port. It is also only about a...
