Very friendly staff especially Naomi.Breakfast buffet style would have liked the toast cooked to order and sometimes had to wait for the bacon etc to be topped up.Evening meals very good.Furniture a little tired but clean and comfortable.Convenient parking.WI-FI not free is a pity and very unusual.Never been asked to pay before.

It baffles me how this place is still open. Even if you buy a groupon its not worth the money to have to put up with the management. They let the place down and i feel very sorry for the staff. If new management came in tomorrow that actually LIKED guests the place could be booming. Do not go and...

We booked in for one night and stayed for one hour. The hotel is very dated , in need of complete redecoration, dirty carpets , limited staff presence , they didn't care when when we checked out early.

This is the third hotel in Cumbria that my husband and myself have stayed at using a Groupon deal, but it is the only time that we have been made to feel like 'cheapskates'!! Before we even booked, as always my husband rang ahead to confirm if they could cater for a Gluten Free Diet to which they confirmed -...

We were a little disappointed with our stay. We had a family room which was was well laid out for my wife and I along with our son. The room was next to the A62 and as such was busy most of the night, so we were unable to open the windows due to noise. There is supposed to be...

We booked the Groupon offer for the hotel (£125 for 2 people for 2 nights B&B, dinner and cream tea), then started to read the trip advisor reviews and were really apprehensive about our stay. The comments about the owner being grumpy put us off in particular. We arrived early on the day of check in, at 11am to check...

Under staffed, there was no one on reception or the main bar and we had to find someone to assist us. Room was large but not very clean. The bird droppings piled against the window outside were a little off putting!(room 9). The shower door was wobbly and the shower itself was only just more than a trickle. We then...

We've just returned from a two night Groupon visit and had a fantastic time. Admittedly after reading some of the reviews we were a little apprehensive but we couldn't have been more wrong! The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough, we were made to feel very welcome from the minute we walked in, with one of the girls...
