I booked a night here to celebrate my husband's birthday and we enjoyed a wonderful meal and overnight stay. Our Labrador was impressed with her bed and especially the treats on arrival. Lovely comfy king size bed and every comfort. Friendly staff and we will certainly come again. Thank you

We spent two nights at The Crown this week in room 16 which is one of the new conversions at the rear of the Hotel . The quality of the room is really good with a quality new bathroom and it has all the facilities you could want coffee , tea etc and quality toilet accessories . The restaurant and...

We've stayed here before, this time we stayed in an apartment but went to the crown several times to eat, which was absolutely lovely and we'll be going back in October. The service and atmosphere was great, and it's very dog friendly

I booked a 'copper bath' room and it was quite simply the nicest room I've ever stayed in, complete with a beautiful, private outside space with table and chairs, and the copper bath! Fresh milk, flapjacks,Nespresso machine, bottled water and a selection of teas exceeded all expectations. The bed was huge and we both slept like logs. Bubble bath was...

Arrived and able to park free right outside, also had car park at rear. Went into the building and warmly greeted by staff. Taken up to our room and made to feel at home. My Labrador instantly found his bed and the treats that had been left on it for him. The room was clean and tidy, had a flat...

I had previously booked a table for two in the Orangery, so as not to be bothered by dogs. However, the Orangery is nothing like one, its nothing more than an ordinary extension. Not light and bright, but a little dark and gloomy, but quite comfortable. We ordered 2 starters and 2 mains, which were advertised at 2 courses each...

Absolutely stunning building with wonderful quirky interior design including wall-cladding in the sides of vintage wooden fruit crates. We chose here as a family of 2 children, 3 adults and our dog because I had read that it was happy to allow dogs. Dogs are only allowed in one front room so it was quite a squeeze as there were...

This is an old building with worn stone floors, sash windows, beams and sloping floors, but the "quaint" is not overdone or false. The hotel is in a good location on the Buttlands with only a short walk to the quay, and a pleasant outlook over the green. Efficient, friendly staff and much better than average pub food make a...

We ate a meal in the restaurant at 6.30pm and so it was not too busy which suited us. I had a 2 course sunday special, my roast beef was cooked just how I asked for it (no blood), the veg were tasty and plentyful. My husband opted for 3 courses starting with prawn and crayfish tail cocktail, his only...

We were allocated Room 5 which is a lovely spacious dog friendly room at the front of the hotel overlooking the green. The only minus point was the very small, awkward bathroom which is in need of a bit of TLC. The staff were all charming and helpful and we very much enjoyed our one night stay. I am already...
