We popped into The Swan for hopefully a bite to eat. I ordered a cola and lemonade which were satisfactory, the bar tender who served me was very polite and courteous even though she was clearly suffering from the excesses of the previous night. However, being the subject of ridicule by another member of staff who's clothing was too late...

Booked and paid for a double room on Thursday evening for me and my partner to stay on Good Friday for one night. As I knew we were arriving later in the evening, around 10:30pm (check in finished apparently at 11pm) I had been trying to call the hotel every 30-60 minutes since 5pm that day to inform them but...

Under new management me and the family went to see if the breakfasts were up to their predecessor... sorry to say the food wasn't as good as the friendly welcome. A long wait, not quality produce and very greasy! I will try again maybe next month but I am dissapointed. Prices have gone up and quality down. I hope it...

Took this place purely on face value as we could sit outside with our dogs as well on what was a lovely day. Obviously the menu appealed to us, we had jacket potatoes with a few sides and fillings of course. Service was good and friendly, food was great and really hit the spot with no short measures on the...

Needed an overnight stay as attending a friend's party in the town. The hotel was excellent value for money. Obviously don't go expecting the Ritz but if you need a warm, friendly, typically English Hotel/Pub this is great. Welcomed by the bar staff and shown to our room which was large and neatly furnished with plenty of decent tea, coffee...

The pub itself is very nice, but the service very slow. The staff are very friendly. But the room- Oh dear!! Shabby, mismatched furniture, dirty carpet. The window was part opened- it neither opened any further nor closed. It's November. I would like to have been able to close it. The toilet did not flush- it was too late at...

Only passing through but I really enjoyed a night's stay here. Convenient town centre location with easy car parking, staff friendly and genuinely helpful, room was a decent size, and cost very reasonable. Had a perfectly OK evening pub meal with some well kept St Austell ale (although shame no Proper Job because it's my favourite). Quite early start meant...

Needing an overnight stay in the area we booked not realising that it was carnival night! We had a brilliant view of the whole carnival from our window which was great. However the celebrations went on into the early hours below us which did not make for a restful night! The accommodation was basic and a little tired but had...

Shower was powerful, bed was comfortable, tv had all the freeview chanels, thats about it. The negatives, room had been cleaned but is so dated, stains on carpet, bathroom floor covered in ground in dirt, boiling...
