Welcoming! From the time we arrived to the time we left. Could not fault the hospitality of Jane and Geoff. The rooms are so cosy and comfortable we were tempted to put down roots! We wanted for nothing. The breakfast choices were amazing and delicious to boot. Location was great, a five minute walk to the harbour and centre of...

Really friendly B&B. Excellent breakfast. Lovely quiet location opposite the church - but only 2-3 minutes walk from harbour. Silent fridge in room, fresh milk and bottled water daily, plenty of varieties of coffee and teas in room, fresh coffee and cake on arrival, on the sunny patio area. Big bonus - Parking!

We couldn't fault the room, service and breakfast at Althea Library. Jane and Geoff were perfect hosts - discrete but always there if needed. Perfectly positioned for a short walk into Padstow. We would thoroughly recommend

A wonderful B and B in Padstow just a few minutes from the harbour and shops. Geoff and Jane Beare made us feel very welcome and at home. Beautiful rooms and a lovely breakfast to start the day. I would recommend this beautiful hidden gem to anyone.

Our second visit to the Althea Library was a good as the first. Lovely breakfasts, good parking [not easy in Padstow], and Sky Sports! The Puffin Suite is really luxurious with a "grand designs" bathroom with a separate shower, and clever lights in the floor on a sensor. The lounge with a large TV, has a comfortable sofa, a silent...

It has - Characterful & comfortable rooms - An excellent shower and a big bath - perfect for a long soak after hiking the coast path - Private parking so you can leave your car without having to navigate the small lanes of Padstow - Walking distance...

We stayed at Althea Library over the Easter weekend. We had a wonderful time, it is welcoming, clean and homely and we were made to feel really welcome. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The breakfast was fabulous. Will definitely stay there again.

We stayed in the 'Yellow Room' over the Easter holidays and we would wholeheartedly recommend this lovely B&B. Lovely and clean, lots of little extras in the room, in fact everything was thought of. Even a silent fridge! Breakfast was virtually anything you could want. You complete a tick list the night before and pop it downstairs and then in...

My fiance and I stayed at Althea Library for two nights over Easter and it was probably the best B&B experience we have ever had! Jane and Geoff are fabulous hosts, we felt really looked after. Traffic had been awful getting to Padstow on Good Friday, and on our arrival Jane made us tea and coffee served with (what I...
