I really can't praise this lovely place enough...... I stayed for two nights as part of an Adventure Clydesdale package whereby the big friendly giants are welcomed at the farm as well as their riders. The farmhouse is extremely comfortable and homely and our rooms were spotless and well appointed with everything one could need and a very comfy bed....

We are Adventure Clydesdale and we trail ride all over Dartmoor. Callisham Farm is one of our stopovers where we receive the most fantastic welcome for our guests and our horses. Esme and Brian could not do more for us to make us and our clients feel welcome, well fed and thoroughly looked after and all for a very sensible...

This was my first holiday were I was travelling on my own, and from the moment I pulled into the driveway I had a very warm welcome. Firstly from a very polite border collie and secondly from Esme who brought me drinks and chocolate biscuits! The rooms were clean and spacious, with beautiful views and comfortable beds. The showers are...

We have just spent 3 nights at Esme and Brian's farm in a truly beautiful part of the country. It was everything we could have hoped for. Esme is a great host, the accommodation scrupulously clean, and the breakfasts - all you could ever want. All at a really modest price. They run a working farm, but nothing was too...

I was in the area for the serious business of an international golf match at Yelverton. We could not have been better looked after. Esme is the perfect landlady and could not have made us more welcome. The room was comfortable, the breakfast huge and delicious. I can't wait to come back.

What a wonderful experience we had! Esme and Brian are so welcoming and genuinely care about you and making sure your stay is wonderfully memorable. Esme's breakfasts are world class. Our room was faultless; immaculate and the bed so cosy and comfy. And a gorgeous view out of the window too. I wish we could've stayed longer. Jacko and Nora,...

Have stayed here twice a year for the last 6 years. Can't fault the owners, food or cleanliness. It's definitely a home away from home. Would recommend anyone to stay here. Great for exploring Dartmoor and the coast. Owners very helpful and friendly. Will advise where to eat or what to do in the area.

All the reviews I have read about Callisham Farm are full of superlatives that I find unable to beat. Has anyone mentioned the bantam hens (one looks like a vulture, having lost its neck feathers) that sit on the kitchen window looking in? Jacko, a working collie who sits on the wall beside the entrance gate. He wants to be...

This was our first stay (2 nights) and we will certainly return as it is lovely to be on a real farm where the setting and comfort is excellent. Esme's breakfast have to be tried because they are outstanding and better than any that we have experienced in the last 20/30 years. Well done Esme and Brian for a very...
