Staying in Lyme for a wedding on Bank Holiday weekend we chose The London as previous reviews said new owners had taken it over. From the moment we arrived and met Nick, he and his partner Sarah made us feel so welcome and looked after. Not a single question was answered with anything but a yes and a smile. The... More

We stayed for one night on 26th April on our journey home from Weymouth, back to Merseyside. I used to visit Lyme Regis as a child and so couldn't wait to come back. It was just myself and my partner and we had booked in advance by email. We received a genuinely warm welcome from the owners, and although we... More

We stayed for two nights 27th and 28th August. Two adults and two children aged 7 and 10. Nick and Sarah were very friendly, they had only just taken over running the place a few days earlier from Nicks brother. Breakfast was fine, it was a continental breakfast which was what we expected on booking. We stayed in room 9... More

Unfortunately Trip advisor doesn't have a good rating which is where i'd put The London at the moment. The owners have only been in for ten days. 1) Our welcome was lovely. We arrived early which wasn't a problem. We were given private parking, which being Lyme Regis is fabulous. 2) Lovely spacious room with en suite. This is the... More

We spent two nights at The London and found it utterly charming and comfortable. The hosts were helpful and friendly. the center of Lyme is just a short walk away and the view of Lyme Bay from the garden is simply spectacular. “Just call and talk to Nick or Sarah and let them help you choose the best room, if you are a family of 4 ask for room no 9.”

“I think we hade the most quiet room in the annex. But there you are not able to use the wifi because it's too far away from the main building. If you want to use it, just go to the main building where there are three chairs and a table in the hall outside the other bedrooms. I think the other rooms have more noise from each other (so it seemed when we sat outside). But I guess those rooms have more "atmosphere from hundreds of years ago" since the main building is hundreds of years old.”
