Stayed here on an overnight trip to Lyme Regis, and can't fault it. Lovely, bright room, comfortable bed, hot shower, and delicious breakfast. Everyone friendly and helpful, and in a good location for access to Lyme shops and harbour. Definitely recommend

Stayed for two nights in a double room and had a lovely stay, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was perfect. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the bay and large shower! Full English breakfast was delicious and views from the dining area were very pleasant. Outside garden was pretty and had a... More

We stayed for 1 night in a double room (the same room that we had stayed in the previous year). The hotel is very quaint and picturesque, some rooms having sea views. There is adequate parking across the road in the Hotel's car park. Our room was bright and very comfortable with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was served in the... More

This is a great hotel. Really close to the centre of Lyme Regis - genuine walking distance to the Cobb and all attractions. All the staff were friendly, helpful and extremely pleasant. Breakfast was great - with a good choice of good food and served promptly with a smile. We booked the family room and our grandson adored his small... More

I've been reading reviews of the mariners and noticed that people often mention the staff! We have used mariners often but our last visit was bizarre! For the first time we booked into the restaurant, meal was average and overpriced but the waitress/restaurant manager had proper attitude! We returned to our room and a half full tumbler of water was knocked... More

Had a birthday meal for 15 people that was to take place in a lunch hour! I pre ordered our meals and they were being delivered to the table as we were walking in!! Just amazing and again the quality, quantity and ambience didn't disappoint! Thanks to Sandra and her staff once again!

The hotel is ideally situated at the top of the hill and our room had a lovely view of the sea and the garden, which would be beautiful in the summer I imagine. The staff were friendly and the bar area is comfortable, furnished with comfortable sofas and a relaxing place for a drink in the evening. However, this hotel... More

We stayed 3 nights, midweek at the Mariners. We received a warm welcome and plenty of good advice on where to eat, visit and explore. As with other reviews, cannot beat the excellent breakfast. We stayed in room 1 which had access to a roof terrace with lovely views across the bay. As others have mentioned, the hill back to... More

The Mariner Hotel is a 10 minute walk up hill from the quayside. It is a friendly, comfortable stopover hotel. We stayed for just the one night. Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the main road, which wasn't too noisy. It was a medium sized double room, with en-suite. The room was equipped with coffee/tea making... More

Room 12 provided double vistas of the beautiful sea and cobb. It's an old hotel - in need of some 'tlc' here and there but it is clean, the bed comfy and the towels fluffy and large. Sloping ceilings and narrow hallway steps lend to the older status of the building. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The cooked... More
