Stayed here for two nights between Christmas and New Year, in a stable room as we have a dog. We had lunch first before checking in. It was Sunday so no snack menu but had very nice home made duck pate and hot toast. Our room was lovely, farrow and ball colours, with everything we needed from different teas, tea...

Second time we've stayed as a family between Christmas and New Year and this year confirmed the quality of service and enjoyment we felt last year. A really well sized bedroom which was clean and beautifully decorated, smartly fitted bathroom, cosy residents lounge, friendly bar and restaurant area and superb food. Staff were friendly, especially the waiter who made my...

WE needed a place for a night way from London on our way to the West. Almost randomly we iced on the Museum In.. When we lived in Oxfordshire we and our children loved The Pitt Rivers museum in Oxford. Farnham in Dorset is where it started with the slightly mad archaeologist and ethnographer Augustus Pitt Rivers. had the family...

The Pork roast at £15.50 was very good but the apple sauce was missing from our dish! What disappointed most was the price of a large glass of mediocre Shiraz (Are you Game) at £10! Definitely not worth the money! They also presume that you wish to pay a service charge of 10% and automatically add it to the bill....

We have just returned from this superb hotel. We stayed in a stable room, beautifully furnished with muted "farrow and ball" like paint colours, clean and plenty of hot water. The rooms arn't massive but cosy and warm and relaxing. The staff are soooo great, always cheerful and smiling and we had a slight hiccup with our room when we 1st...

Stayed over here as a group of 8 following a recommendation. The service from the time we arrived until we departed the next day was excellent. Jemma looked after our party at dinner, nothing was too much trouble, the food excellent especially the mussels and the Venison carpaccio. Rooms well presented and comfortable. A place I would highly recommend.

Upon arrival staff couldn't be more helpful. Shown to our room straight away. We stayed in a stable room. Although smallish, it was very cosy and perfect big enough for a short stay. Very clean and comfy bed with dark curtains to block sun out. Breakfast also delicious. It was busy due to wedding size buy staff did everything they...

Stayed here for a weekend in September. Great local beer and a wonderful evening meal. The steak was great and my girlfriend had the pumpkin pasta dish. Very friendly staff and smart modern comfortable rooms. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. Would definitely stay again.!

I stayed here with my wife and three children. It is a lovely little place. Nicely decorated and beautifully situated. The rooms were great. The food in the restaurant was good but whilst every member of staff was polite, friendly and helpful, the whole thing just came across as a little chaotic. Not to the point of having a huge...

We visited this inn and can only say that it was an absolute 100% yes to everything. We should have been married on the day we arrived but sadly we had to postpone due to a NHS emergency four days before the wedding. We didn't want to be around on the Saturday so decided to go on the day we...
