Checked in with a lovely, pleasant, friendly young lady (should have got her name) that couldn't be more helpful. Room was huge and spotlessly clean. We were going to take a walk and see what other restaurants were in the vicinity but changed our mind and glad we did. Will DEF be returning 😊

Such helpful people downstairs when I was checking in. My room was lovely, very modern and well equipped. Huge bed. There was nothing to complain about - it was very good value for money. Breakfast served from 7am which was good.

My sister and I stayed in a twin bedded room in the Bottle Kiln for 3 night in mid August 2021. It was just £141.30 for the 3 nights, we didn't expect much to be honest at such a budget price however we were proved very wrong. The spotlessly clean room had an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer and although small it dried my long hair quite quickly (Unlike hotel hairdryers of old that produce a warm puff of nothing) a kettle, a good supply of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits and bottles of water. The room had a decent size flat screen TV, a 'dressing table' with mirror, a full length mirror, wardrobe hanging space with plenty of hangers, a small table with two chairs, two bedside tables, various lighting options, air con and heating. The bathroom was large with a huge walk in shower, toilet and sink. Both shower gel and hand wash were provided along with good size bath towels. The only negative comment I have is that the pillows were very firm, but that's just a personal choice, I'm a bit of a pillow princess. The hotel is about a 3 minute walk from Dovercourt train station and about a 2 minute walk to the beach. The pub downstairs doesn't close until 12 and even though it has a good sized beer garden we were not disturbed by other customers. The pub opens at 7 am so it's perfect for a lovely breakfast. The food was delicious, well cooked and nicely presented. The pub itself is very large and airy, everything is very clean. It was very busy on the Sunday we arrived but the staff were super efficient, always happy to help, nothing was too much trouble, everything was done with a smile, as we were there for four days we got to know the staff, especially the early morning shift, they would always pass a couple of minutes chatting. We couldn't have asked for more. Lovely place to stay if you're in the vicinity, praise for ALL the staff. I have to be honest Dovercourt high street is very run down which is such a shame, many of the shops have closed, my guess is that it's due to the pandemic, which of course was unavoidable but its still sad to see. A regeneration of the whole area is needed, lets hope Harwich council pump some much needed money to bring the area up to the standard it deserves to be. The main reason for our trip was to meet half way between Norwich and London for a much needed catch up as we have not seen each other for at least 18 months. We spent many hours walking along the beaches chatting, taking in the sea, the fresh air and the quiet. Dovercourt was perfect for this.

I am no fan of the odious Tim Martin, but the room stay at this hotel was excellent. Premier Inn watch out! Large room, great bath/shower room, comfy huge bed and aircon. Check in/out easy, good breakfast and really quiet.
