Very warm welcome, very well maintained, spotless, bright and comfy room, wonderful entrance and staircase! Spotless welcoming garden area laden with well kept planting, lovely. Didn't have breakfast as lack of vegan options, but would stay again if in the area and would recommend.
Lovely stay again at the Tower. Staff very helpful and accomodating. Had breakfast and dinner. Both delicious and high quality. The room was very spacious and a sea view which was very pleasant. Perfect location for exploring the local area and good value. Highly recommend and would stay again
The only reason I’m giving this 2/5 is because the food was actually ok. The carvery on Sunday was much better than I’d hoped and the breakfast was nice. The service in this place is really dire, moody and not friendly. Saying that, it was only one lady who was not fit to be working in hospitality. The rest of the team seemed ok. Perhaps they were understaffed, that’s common right now. Unfortunately our shower didn’t work so they moved us into another room. Clearly the room hadn’t been used in some time nor had it been cleaned. As soon as we moved in my eyes flared up from the dust in there. The decor is old and the bathroom was awful. Not clean looking and really baron! The building itself is beautiful and I imagine with some brains snd money, this place could be a gold mine. As it stands, it’s more like a coal mine! This hotel is really, really over-priced. They should at least include breakfast. Safe to say, we won’t be coming back.…
Booked a table in the morning and then came for the evening. No tables were laid, we were a party of 3. Skeleton staff on but they did an ok service. Now bare in mind they are charging A La Carte prices for this……. We were made to wait 5 mins i side the restaurant while other people were eating, and were told we were to have 2 little tables squeezed together despite many bigger tables being free with nobody dining. Ribeye Steak prices at £22 was just a plate with not a big steak on with a mushroom and one little tomato. It was supposed to come with chips but the chef seemed to have forgotten to do them as there was confusion in the kitchen. Steak was cold and not to temperature with a 5 minute wait on the chips. So, this was a birthday come anniversary joint occasion. Safe to say, i will not be returning ever. I would have had more value for money getting a take away which would not have cost me anywhere near the £60 i paid. Not good. Shame.…
What lovely people. We were made to feel special. The staff were just the most friendly people we have met. Nothing too much trouble. Reasonable - great food - huge portions - comfy food. Not normally a fan of hotels but compared to Airbnb - this was fantastic value
