Returned here after staying previously a few years ago and it has still retained its excellence and incredible atmosphere. The room was lovely beautiful bed linen and spotless leaving us very relaxed the following morning for the scrumptious breakfast. Dinner was superb with local produce the partridge very succulent and tasty my husband having the steak which was also enjoyable.... More

Four of us had lunch at The Wheatsheaf which is part of a group of Cotswold hotels/restaurants (The Lucky Onion). We found it a mixed experience. We were given a table with very uncomfortable chairs and were near to the music speakers, despite saying we wanted a quiet table when we booked. Soup was not hot enough and we had... More

We were visiting the Cotswolds and had read good reports of the Wheatsheaf Inn. Four of us had lunch two liver and bacon and two fish and chips ( whitening ). Very tasty. The let down was we asked if chips were included with the liver and bacon YES said the waitress but we were charged £8 for two portions.... More

On arrival, the barman asked if we had booked a table and despite not having done so we were looked after brilliantly. The service was fast and the bar was filled with laughter from other people. Very small but has such a positive vibe to the place. Customer service was great, food was absolutely beautiful and the price was fantastic.... More

Dinner, Drinks and Accommodation on a Tuesday night in November doesn't really get much better than this in the Cotswolds. If you really want to enjoy a slice of quintessential England, then this is the place. Cotswold Stone Flagstone Floors, Open Fire and a choice of Ales and Fine Wines. A Special Thank You to James who looked after us... More

After a 4K walk we had a fantastic 3 course Sunday lunch. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was of high quality and was superb. The roast beef came rare which was just how I like it. Great selection of vegetables. Desserts fantastic. Well worth a visit if you enjoy good food.

We had a really nice time here. Well decorated, nice rooms, and welcoming and accommodating staff. Just a warning, we were in a room with the shower directly in the room in front of the bed so it may be a bit awkward if you are not so comfortable with your travel partner, however not a problem for us. There... More

Eaten here a few times and never disappointed - the food is excellent - the service is faultless - the decor and atmosphere is top notch .... you may have to pay a bit more than you would in the average gastro pub, but this place is far better than the average gastro pub!

The room was tiny which was ok but the shower (with glass door) was right in front of the bed! As this was a trip with a friend this was quiet inconvenient. While some of the staff was super friendly some were just ok and seemed bit overwhelmed with all the guests during breakfast hours. The "free" breakfast buffet that... More

We stayed for one night in an 'excellent' room in the main building and had a warm welcome from the staff who were very helpful throughout our stay. The room was large and tastefully decorated, in keeping with the nature of the property. Whilst the room was extremely stylish, we would have liked better storage, even for a one night... More
