Clean and with good food served by willing staff. Simple maintainance issues but not much (Blown bulb in bed room and worn and scuffed paint at towel rack) Otherwise clean and quaint. We were in the Garden house and enjoyed the walk down to it via a covered way through the garden. Breakfast was great. Eggs Benedict for myself and...

We attended the Christmas Eve supper arranged in the restaurant, with a Carol concert after with Chalford Brass Band. Not only was the food delicious, the service was excellent and the setting and decorations were wonderful. The band played for 2 hours and entertained us whilst we relaxed in the lounge with coffee and mince pies. I would happily have...

Fantastic venue I attended for a friends wedding, lovely staff who were all really friendly and fun, the organisation for the wedding itself was also superb as was the decoration. Would recommend staying in their clean spacious rooms as well.

On booking we were told they had a ground floor room with easy access, they do not all rooms accessed by at least 8 steps. We were told the stair lift doesn't always work!Very steep steps to the bar and restaurant area with inadequate hand rails and no disabled parking. We cancelled our room but did attend the party night and thought the...

We booked in for two nights, to spend time with relatives nearby. The staff were very friendly and couldn't have been more attentive. We only had breakfasts there, but they were pretty damned good - the full english was great. On the downside, the decor is a bit dated in the bar and restaurant, and the room and bathroom felt...

The weather was terrible but staying here made me forget the terrible rain and appreciate the surroundings. The atmosphere was friendly and festive and I particularly loved the outdoor seating area. The coffee is the best I've had at a hotel and the soup I had for lunch tasted hearty and homemade. Can't wait to return when I hope the...

Spent my birthday weekend here and did not disappoint. We had a room in the old Mill House, which was perfect and considering hotel was full (and outside our room was a walkway to another part of the hotel), it was very quiet. Staff were lovely, friendly and fun. We had dinner which was perfect and great breakfast (they do...

This is not a bad hotel but I wouldn't go back. Even though the service was excellent both from the reception and the restaurant personnel, I wasn't that impressed. The room and the bathroom had decent size and it was warm enough, but the duvet cover was stained, the sound from the mill outside the window was too loud and...

When you first arrive you will step out of your car to the peaceful sound of the river gushing under the bridge. Then you will be greeted by a breathtakingly picturesque sight. The mill on the river is right out of a story book and as you walk over the little bridge that leads to the bar and reception you...

We went there yesterday. We had lunch there. The menu was quite extensive and reasonably priced. At lunchtime up until six (I think) all main meals are priced at £8.50 with desserts at £4.50. I had chicken chasseur and a chocolate tart to follow. Both well recommended! Including the drinks the meal cost just over sixty pounds for four of...
