We had two rooms for one night, on the eve of our son's graduation ceremony at Leicester uni. Personally I much prefer an old hotel like this with character rather than a modern hotel, even though parts of it could do with updating.
Central location, lovely team of people that work there all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Pretty grim. It was very warm and uncomfortable. Had to leave windows open which was noisy. Rooms are old, a bit dirty and musty. All floors are creaky and wonky. Staff were friendly and breakfast was lovely.
