This is a lovely, friendly hotel in a very pretty setting. Fantastic breakfast, very good quality and freshly cooked to order. Sadly didn't get chance to try the restaurant although my daughter had a kids meal which was great (even for a fussy eater). The staff are all very friendly and helpful, especially the manager and Victoria at breakfast. The...

I treated my boyfriend to a Middleham Race tour around the local stables and I picked The White Swan to stay in. Lovely local pub and setting. The staff couldn't do enough for you and the breakfast was delicious. The loveliest little village with plenty to do. Can't wait to go back thankyou for a lovely weekend.

I've not even checked out yet, but the White Swan is excellent. On arrival someone had somehow checked into our room, the manager was very graceful about the mistake so we ended up with a bigger room than we had booked. Parking isn't an issue, plenty of space outside and in the village swuare directly opposite. The room itself whilst...

We loved the White Swan so much we returned the next night. We couldn't go into the brasserie as we had our two dogs with us. However we were welcomed into the cosy traditional bar area where we were served lovely meals on both evenings. Staff are friendly and attentive and with me having coeliac disease it was nice to...

Completely random choice of where to stay but definitely a good choice with loads of character. Lovely room and huge bed. Lovely bar with log fire - choice of whether to eat in restaurant or bar - hosts could not have been more attentive and helpful. Would recommend for a stay that's definitely not your run of the mill chain...

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at The White Swan and, as birthdays go, this was near perfect, Booked a bit late so couldn't have our preferred room but spacious room found for us by GM Glenn. Room managed to be spacious yet cosy. There was a little problem with a leaking toilet dealt with without fuss...

We had a really great stay over New year. Glen the Manager is really good, and was so helpful to us over the two days we stayed. Our room was a superior room overlooking the front, good size room, and typical for this old inn, really nice. We didn't eat their, but the breakfast was very good. So good, we...

Very warm welcome to us and our two dogs. Clean and comfortable room with all facilities and with a beautiful view to wake up to. Nice country style bar with open fire and a comfortable lounge area with sumptuous sofas. As we had dogs we didn't experience the fine bistro but were served superbly in the bar for dinner and...
