stayed for one night and shocked to see an avocado bathroom suite. Rooms badly need updating. However Sunday lunch with a large family group was fabulous. Special mention to the head waiter who was wonderful. He had a great personality and couldn't be more accommodating. The chef was quite rightly proud of his yorkshires, the pork and crackling was sublime...

Utterly ridiculous pricing - 2 draught ciders, 1 pint shandy and glass of lemonade came to£17.15!!!!!!! I queried prices as there was nothing on display and found out the ciders and shandy were £4.85 each and the lemonade £2.55 Will most definitely not be returning

If I was judging this solely on the food I would have given it five stars for the quality , presentation and the imaginative cooking. We had hoped to stay for two nights but as there were five of us they could only put us up for one. We had dinner our arrival all of us choosing various fish dishes...

Booked a nights B&Q in alnmouth and have just got back from our evening meal we booked at the hope and anchor. Have to say it was the best fish I we have had, if I had known the food was so good I would have had the lobster linguine, shame we are only here for one night

Stayed here on 12 July for a one night cycle stop as we were cycling from Berwick to Sunderland. We chose this hotel as it had safe parking for cycles. We checked in at the bar and was basically just handed the room keys. We stayed in a family room called Lapwing it was very tired to say the least...

Very dog friendly. Alnmouth is a beautiful village with a brilliant beach and a lovely walk by the river called Lovers Walk. Booked a twin room for just the one night. The twin room had been made up with the beds put together to make a double. Becky offerred to separate the beds and reinstate room as it had been...

A delightful small hotel in a beautiful out of the way location. Happened upon it by chance - surrounded by river and vast beaches (loads of terns on sands and fishing, inc sandwich terns). I was very fortunate to have the family room (Kittiwake) at the front, which was spacious and very comfortable. Some might not consider it smart enough,...

We were assured that if we arrived before 6:45pm our cycles would be locked up on arrival, the hotel had a 'large table' in the dining room and were unable to lock our cycles away for 2 1/2 hours in the mean time we had to leave them on the pavement outside secured with a cycle lock. There were roughly...

We chose this Hotel because it stated in very positive terms that it was 'dog friendly'. Although our two dogs were allowed in the Hotel and our room, there was no facility for taking the dogs out for obvious needs withouy having to walk a considerable distance to the the beech. Not at all convenient if the need comes in...

We stayed here on a Saturday night for our wedding anniversary. We had visited previously but primarily chose this B&B because they offered a one night stay on a weekend. On arrival we received a lovely warm welcome and were shown to our room. There was plenty of information provided about the local area which was helpful. We were impressed...
