We had a really excellent two nights stay at Easter 2015. Really enjoyable food, the Game Casserole is superb! A very pleasant bar, with great entertainment on the Friday evening. And the staff were all very helpful and pleasant. All added up to a very enjoyable stay - recommended! The only slight issue was the lack of in room Wi-Fi,...

First impression of The Old Inn was that it was indeed old, This is a former coaching inn and we were warmly welcomed and promptly shown to our double room upstairs and to the rear of the property. The room was all you might expect well furnished and cosy but also quiet so all the boxes were ticked. Our trip...

Idyllic location beside a stream, walks , the village shops and the harbour. This quaint and homely hotel has comfortable rooms and communal areas and a good restaurant, and with a great pub selling their own craft ales and having entertainment as well! All set in a lovely garden area with free parking. The downsides were the wifi only worked...

Stayed at the last minute on tour of Highlands. The hotel is dated throughout and in need of an overhaul if indeed it would be worth. Food is very average and really just pub grub no seafood to be found when we stayed. The main entrance says a lot about what to expect it has a broken weather station, dirty...

We chose this hotel as our first stop on our Highland holiday mainly due to the fact that they advertised that they served fresh seafood daily. Unfortunatley we were very disappointed as the only seafood they had on both nights were scallops everything else was just pub food. Very disappointing. We only saw Ute (the owner) once when we were...

Visited Gairloch for two nights and decided to have a meal at the old inn as the reviews we read were quite good. They were quite busy but not overly so, it was not a restaurant where they came and served you, you had to go to the bar and place your order for food and take your cutlery to...

Stayed for one night on business trip in September 2014. The outside is well presented and obviously well looked after. Clean and comfortable room in good repair. Nice and quiet with no unuasual noises you can sometimes get in hotels. No traffic noise as it's set back from the main road a good distance. Nice tables outside overlooking the river...

the inn is a lovely building from the outside, and has lovely views from it's garden/ outside dining area. inside, the bar area is a little cramped, but there are other places to sit and eat. the food was good, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, and very good at remembering names after your first meeting it seems, lol....

Ate in the bar several evenings running with our little dog. The pub is beautifully-situated. The bar is quite small and very busy but there are several areas to sit and eat in more of a restaurant atmosphere (dogs not allowed though). There is also a lovely outside area by the river. All the food we had was lovely, several...

We stayed in the Old Inn for one night after climbing in the Torridon Hills. The setting is stunning and I would most certainly spend more time in Gareloch and it's surrounding area, however I felt the quality and service was a little hap hazzard. I must say though, that it was extremely friendly!! Our room was well priced, we...
