We had a really nice stay at Rua Reidh Lighthouse. Roger and Tracy are really nice people, helpful, great food. We did the suggested walk of a few hours and explored real Scottish surroundings including wind, rain, sun and beautifull views :-) Afterwards relaxing on the couch near the stove, just a perfect day! Thank you!

We really enjoyed our week's stay self-catering in the first officer's quarters. It had everything we needed and was really comfortable. It's in a fantastic location away from it all. We found the information Tracy and Roger gave on their website about places to see and things to do really useful and most of our days out were based on... More

Very quiet place in the middle of nowhere to enjoy wildness of the West Coast of Scotland with an amazing sunset over the sea and Isle of Skye and Outer Hebrides view over horizon. Grab a chance to see some wildlife with the binoculars provided in the shed-like observatory house. If you are happy enough to get a clear sky... More

We were made extremely welcome by both Roger and Tracy in their lovely home. We arrived in awful weather and Roger ran out to help us with the gates in the wind and rain. That set the tone for the friendly service for the weekend as both were consummate hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms, including our own... More

The location of the lighthouse gave us the feeling to stay at the end of the world. It is great to do some hiking in the surroundings; expect to get wet boots and socks though. The host cooks delicious meals!

Thanks for your review and glad you enjoyed the location, hiking and food. It's wet and boggy out on the cliffs and moors, but luckily we have a great drying room to dry out your boots and socks! Best wishes Tracy More

beautiful settings. Views to Harris and Lewis and the top of Skye and the sunset falls nicely in between the two sets. Rooms comfy and warm, food good and homemade. Bring your own (alcoholic) drink. Northern Lights visible on occasion.

Thanks for your review - our first guests from Kingston, Jamaica! Glad you enjoyed the wild and remote location. We completely redecorated the accommodation when we bought it and tried very hard to make it traditional and appropriate to the historic building, so we are delighted you found it quaint and old-fashioned!
